Central Park it is not. (It is midwestern flat.) But a very nice open space (good for kite flying when the wind is right) with good tennis courts and decent kids' playgrounds and a nice lake (which is especially enjoyable during bird nesting season). Easy to combine with the zoo or the science museum, which are on the north and... More

Explored the park after going to GB fish and chips after we went to Mindful Dispensary. There were people every where, reading, playing soccer, riding bikes, exploring the zoo, playing golf and walking the museums. There is so much to see and do here. We preferred to sit under a tree and enjoy the shade.

Our 5 year old especially liked the playground area. We were disoriented by the golf course and then the street with the zoo, but it is all side by side and when I figured that out it was fine. Same goes for finding the Botanical Gardens right beside Chessman Park. All great places and amazing trees. We love the squirrels... More

I've always loved City Park for all the activities it offers and the proximity to the downtown area. Wonderful for strolling through after visiting the Zoo or Natural History Museum, it's a beautiful park and the nice paved trails make it easy for traveling by bike. Very scenic in the morning when the mist rolls through the grassy hills. It's... More

This park is campus to the Denver Museum of Science and Nature, and the Denver Zoo. We went out to see a special Robot exhibit at the museum. We did not go to the zoo. The park itself is spectacular with views back to the city. The park is worth the trip on its own. There are water sculptures to... More

this is a beautiful park to walk in. it has amazing views and is very relaxing. Some of the races in town start from here. i have never had trouble parking, but it does get crowded on the weekends. the lake is also awesome to walk around.

Expansive green park with a pre-measured 5k course, water fountains, and a lake. If you run in the morning you could be lucky to get to run through some sprinklers to cool off. Located a bit away from most of the other Denver attractions purely by walking, but close to the zoo or an option for a nice afternoon picnic... More

We were told about the "Denver Flea" at the park while we were there so we decided to take it in and check out the park while we were there. The park itself is very clean with a nice walking trail around the lake. The Denver Zoo is located within the park as well as the Denver Museum of Science.... More

Really great park that is near the Museum of Nature and Science. Great scenery for running/walking. Even if you just want to sit and people watch it's a great place.

Beautiful park to walk around, bike, sit down and just relax. It's also right next to the zoo and the Colorado Museum of Nature and Science. It has a beautiful lake (not sure if man-made or not) and beautiful wildlife. Cool ducks chilling everywhere.
