The highlight is the B1 bomber, otherwise there's not much you haven't seen already in other museums. There's a few nice displays including Vietnam War Era Huey helicopter and F4 Phantom, but you can work your way through pretty quickly. Besides that, you MUST buy your tickets on-line before hand, or stand in the lobby waiting for their very slow on-line vendor to process your ticket order. The staff was not very friendly or helpful, there were literally five visitors in the museum and they made us wait ten minutes for our alloted ticket time. Silly.

I have to admit, I love aircraft museums. The outside of this building was huge, so I was really expecting a lot of exhibits. But it was quite then compared to some others that I have seen.
Also, when you arrive you have to sign a consent form, in case you get Covid exposure. Never had to do that before.

There were some nice planes in there, though!

This museum is one of the most amazing and delightful museums of its kind, not just in Denver, or Colorado, but, the entire region, if not, the country. This museum was built at the former Lowry Air Force Base. If you’re into the history of airplanes and spacecraft, this museum will tickle your fancy (pique your interest).

This museum has many planes of all sorts - bombers, gliders, helicopters, biplanes and more. The mezzanine gives you quite a perspective on the size of many of the planes. The history of the use of the planes was quite fascinating. Our sons and grandsons loved the simulator.

Lots of aircraft to see with most being USAF. It was cool to see all of the aircraft; however, it does not take long to visit. Admission was not overly expensive; however, given the size of the place and the short time it takes to actually see everything, it can be costly given the size of your family.

Possibly spoiled by a recent-ish visit to the Boeing facility in Seattle, but nevertheless, I've been to several of these museum types over the years and this is more limited, less explanatory and overall less engaging than most. Strikes me as a very good activity for school field trips and indeed they seem set up this way - and the volunteers are trained to appreciate kids. But as an overall experience I was less than impressed, both on content and price. This filled a time slot, but not a whole heck of a lot more.

What an amazing place to take a 10 and 12 year old. There was lots of parking on a weekday afternoon. The entry staff were friendly and added personal notes about Lowry airfield. The indoor and outdoor planes were awesome. The X-wing fighter from Star Wars was a nice touch of fiction as were several other movie flying objects. The B-1 bomber was impressive, Interesting to see the details of a navy plane with folded wings. The B-25 with a little boy nuclear bomb also made an impression. The kids enjoyed everything including the moon rock and space exhibit. As leaving we noticed a food area next door which we did not have time to visit. A memorable afternoon for all of us.

DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE MINORITY. Staff here are mostly Raciest.
We arrived yesterday at 12:30pm yesterday and was told by front desk info if we want to purchase the flight simulator experience we need to buy the tickets right in front of the rides. When we arrived at the tides the staff told us to go back to front desk, we came back to the front desk again, no one was there and finally the front desk guy was back, and he told us we need to go back to the ride. We told him we were sent here by the ride staff. And spoke with them and told us all the tickets are out till 3pm. The fact is, there’s only 2 people in line, each ride is 5 minutes, and it was 2:00pm, the ride was on all the time we were sent back and forth, just no one want to sell tickets to us. Probably because we are the only Asian family there.
We were also treated unfairly while waiting for the airplane exhibits, whenever it’s our turn, we were skipped, or the exhibit is closed, more than once.
It’s a raciest place, do not throw your money there if you believe people were created equal.

This museum features a few older and newer aircraft, mostly fighter planes and military aero craft but you cannot touch any of it or really get inside. What a bummer! They also feature small exhibits about uniforms and the first female pilot (which was actually cool) and a few others. The space section was disappointingly small. And the flight simulator (which is pretty heavily advertised) was closed. Also the entire museum wasn’t in all that great shape. The video they showed in the small theatre was probably the highlight because it helped the audience gain an appreciation for the novelty and excitement that is air travel. But it was an hour long and covered what could have been covered in some 15-20 minutes tops. Overall this space may be cool for aero plane enthusiasts but is not all that interesting for the average person.

The museum is very well designed to be able to go through in a few hours. However, you can easily spend more time looking closely at the various planes and the artifacts. The staff is well versed and interesting to listen to. Well worth a visit.
