Back in the day, Elitch Gardens Amusement Park and Lakeside Amusement Park represented the best in entertainment for the family. Lakeside has kept the old amusement park feel and atmosphere by keeping the park a family fun place. We used to take our grandchildren there because the rides were perfect for young children and they always enjoyed the rides. Having... More

This is an old-school amusement park. Think more like the Sandlot and less like Disney. The paint on the rides is worn away in spots, some of the lights need replaced, and the food is less than gourmet. All of this adds up to a perfect experience!

We took 6 teenage boys and 2 teenage girls. We originally thought it would be inexpensive, but ended up being more then we anticipated by the time we bought all day passes and food. The food was gross and all of the booths had unsanitary conditions. We won't be back.

Lakeside Amusement Park might be a little rough about the edges, but it is a jewel in the amusement park world. Instead of paying for gimmicks or franchises, enjoy the simplicity of a spin on the Whip-It, the hilarity of becoming family with everyone in the Autoskooter (bumper cars), the surprises of The Chipmunk coaster, and the delightful terror of... No big shiny rides. And most of them are older than the average adult patron. But a relaxed, old fashioned vibe. And perfect for younger kids. Ethnically and economically diverse to boot.

Ever wonder what your grandparents did for fun? Visit Lakeside Amusement Park and find out! Ride the coolest wooden roller coaster (with manual brakes), the super cool merry go round, and the train. Almost every ride spins, so don't eat much until you have finished the fun. Then you can eat popcorn and all kinds of goodies while playing games.... More

I love this amusement park! It has an old charm to it. I just wish money would be invested in it as many of the old rides are inoperable.

I love this place, at night when all the lights go on you feel like a kid again. It is such a cheap place to go, food is so reasonable. There are pavilions, first come, first serve...with the exception of the largest one which is for companies to rent out. You can bring in your own coolers for your own... More

If you love old rickity wooden roller coasters, this is the place for you. This is one of the originals in the original locations and it's always a good time.

My friends and I went on an annual celebration to the amusement park, and it was my first time. The park is old, but it's got charm and style. The age adds to the fear on each ride and kind of encourages one to spend more time in the arcades. I mean, the creaking on the Cyclone is scarier than... More
