Definitely a good place to be when it's cold outside. We stopped by on our visit and wandered around the halls. Lots of people use the library and it's within close proximity to the capital and a few other buildings. Photo ops with the horse in the chair were also fun.

All the branches of the library are welcoming, but the central branch is a particularly great place to visit. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Especially strong Western History department (5th floor) with great collections and always interesting exhibits.

I loved getting to roam the stacks and look at everything. So many books to choose from! It was crowded in there.

If the weather is undesirable or you need to get out of the AWESOME sunshine, this is a great spot! Fun place to just walk around and see the architecture. The children's area is so bright, colorful and inviting. The library is huge! Very minimal hours on Sunday, but most other days it's a great spot!

This is one of my favorite places in Denver. I love to just take a quiet part of a day and gorge on reading a book or magazine. Also a good people watching place.

The exterior architecture is delightful, and the interior is a warm, cozy place to park yourself, wander about, have a cuppa, people watch, and/or just relax! It's well worth the visit; you can pop in before or after going to the Art Museum. And there's a nice little coffee shop attached.

I loved this library. It's huge and has something for everyone, including an art exhibit, many floors, a coffee shop on the first floor (with used books for sale), and information with things to do at the library. When I visited it also had an exhibit on PBS Colorado. This library really shows off Colorado pride. The library is for... More

If you cant find a desired book here then it does not exist. Free wi-fi. Children's section offers fun lounge seating and a great view of the infamous giant red chair and horse.
