A definite must-see if you travel to the Mile-High City! Numerous branches of the library can be found throughout the city. A beautiful and unique architectural find. Check online for what can be found at the library and plan a trip to visit the DPL while in Denver

Impressive and beautiful library. Brand new and well maintained. The video collection is quite large. But as a traveler i was only able to look and not rent. Still I would visit again. On a rainy day this would be a wonderful place to hang out.

The Denver Public Library is a myriad of nooks and crannies to let you enjoy a quiet spot to read or study or to explore some history and art. The first few floors are what you would expect with books and videos and research material. But up on the top floors you can walk through an art gallery and view... More

The 23rd G8 summit was held on June 20–22, 1997 in Denver, at the Denver Public Library. The table where the heads of states met is still there on display. Quite an experience to see the name tags of the participants.

I have multiple library cards and usually check out from Arapahoe Libraries, since I live in Denver but at the edge and closest to an Arapahoe County library. But I come to the Denver Public Library for it's exhibits, lectures, and other special events. It even has good views from the top floor. Parking can be rough, but if I'm... More

Excellent library system in Denver. Plus even better when you have the main building be such an interesting piece of architecture which is located right in front of another interesting building, the Denver Museum of Art. You can spend a lot of time just encountering interesting and odd outdoor sculptures. The library system is great as it is easy to... More

If the library doesn't excite you, check your pulse. Its FREE, its a chance to escape the realties and lose yourself in a book for a while. I wish I could go every day.

The genealogical department is vast. They have 90 books by Brent Holcomb. I don't care for the cataloging system.

We were in town visiting relatives and I needed to get some work done, so I headed downtown to the main branch of the Denver Public Library. I love libraries and had never been here before, so I struck out to explore a bit. The Denver Public Library has a lot to offer. There is a fabulous children's collection with... More
