on a whim, we decided to ride our mountain bikes (while running the dogs) above the Devil's Thumb Golf Course. Now, this was our first time there (we'd been to the DT G.C. a few times before, but not any further up the road) -- and didn't know what to expect. Okay ... "Dobe's" are a sort of common feature... Great free place to take your 4-wheelers or off road vehicles to go play in the dirt. Also a great place to just walk or take photos of people doing stunts on their 4-wheelers

We go here often. Very desolate and a good safe place for some serious shooting (especially long range). Extreme 4-wheeling if you desire. Dangerously muddy after rains (rare).
