The train ride is about a 45 minute round trip and the conductor does make a few stops while providing commentary on the history on the goldmines and the surrounding area. The train is small, but there is a covered section for those who need some shelter from the cold. The ride up to the end provided awesome views especially... More

A terrific trip of about 45 minutes on a narrow gauge steam railway. There are wonderful views and an excellent, knowledgeable commentary. If you enjoy steam railways this is definitely one not to be missed.

A very limited train ride. There was very poor historic information provided. The scenic exposure was captivating, especially with the Fall colors. However, the touring was poor. anything positive could be gained with "on your own" exploring.

I was sceptical of train ride because the steam locomotive is so small and painted up like an amusement park train but it is a real coal fired steam locomotive made in Germany. Tour guide made this trip. We went up the tracks, and guide explained gold mine sites we were seeing and some other sites.

It was my wife and I. We are in our 50's and love nature and history of old towns like this. Our guide was Ryan and the cost was $30 for both of us. Ryan was great, energetic and possessed, from what I could tell, a great deal of information about the town and the gold mines in the area.... More

We saw this had pretty good reviews and we all love trains so we went for a ride. This experience exceeded our expectations. It's really well done. The amount of history you get on this ride is worth the price of admission and you get a train ride on top. Our engineer really loved his job and made this experience... More

The ride on the narrow gauge steam train was more fun than any train I have been on. There were only a few people and the young engineer kept us entertained and informed on the entire run. It was easy to see he loved the train and the country side. It was fun meeting the other passengers and experiencing the... More
