Beautiful scenery, good roads and trails, good access from where we stayed. The mountains are gorgeous and the top mountain views are spectacular.

Great stop along a dual sport ride. Some of the best pictures from my trip were along this trail. Stay on the trail near the private land to avoid problems with the landowners.

Scenic drive. We used our SUV, didn't need 4wheel drive although it could be trickier in the winter. There are some cliff curves you go on! Saw beautiful wildflowers like in town, emerald lake. It was not a long drive and glad we did it.

Gravel, dirt & rough road. Big dips.Would need a high clearance vehicle. We had a Subaru. Beautiful drive/scenery. Road has curves & is narrow in spots. Gorgeous view of Emerald Lake. If you are going slow, (recommended) there are plenty of pull outs. Takes you...More

In mid July 2016 we hiked the trails taking off from here and the nearby West Morain trailhead. Wildflowers were in full bloom and mile after mile they offered great views. That along with the mountain and stream views were fantastic. The wildflowers were the...More
