Fun stop with a wide variety of things to look at. Gunfighter and cowboy exhibit; old toys; medical equipment; local wildlife; an exhibit on the Victory Hwy; old photos; just to name some of what they have. Oh, and did I meantion the dinosaur footprint?! Free, but donations help fund this local gem.

This museum has an amazing collection of western/cowboy gear. They also have several displays and books on the Moffat railroad which became the Denver Rio Grande railroad. Helpful and knowledgeable stall make this a great museum to visit.

Wonderful staff and volunteer regaled us with great stories that added so much to the collection! Great history in that area - Butch Cassidy, Ann Bassett, Tom Horn, etc... It's free and worth a stop! Ask some questions! (:

This is a nice little museum for a small town in Northwest Colorado. There is quite a bit of cowboy memorabilia if you are interested in that kind of thing. They also had a nice display of pictures of Moffat County from 100 years ago ago coupled with pictures from today from the same perspective.

Museum staff is helpful and friendly. Exhibits are interesting and well displayed. Small gift shop of books pertaining to western part of Co. Was given a good suggestion for additional reading by staff and enjoyed the book very much. Worth the stop if your travels take you through this part of the country.

Went because so many reviewers said it was great. They're right! From the welcoming greeting when you walk in and the immediate overall description it draws you in to have a good look around. Many different displays from the Cowboy collection upstairs snd the walk thru time in photos to the Native American artifacts, fossils, two bucks locked in combat,... More

This museum is well designed. The owners take great pride in the museum and it shows! The exhibits are informative, interesting and artistically designed. Even though some of the exhibits are about the local community, we still the exhibits interesting. If you are passing through and need a great place to walk around for awhile....visit this gem!

The staff from the Chamber does the railroad car tour as requested. This is an excellent activity that I highly recommend. The car is beautiful and the chamber staff give a great talk about the history of the car and of the area.
