This amazing place is considered (by me) to be the jewel in the crown of the Jefferson County Open Space Park system. It is 550 acres of heavily wooded forest, a fairly steep climb in places, north facing - so quite cool in the summer....More

Meyers Ranch is a nice, typical pine-forested foothills park, with some nice trails and a little mixed habitat. It's only problem (and for me it was a rather significant one) is that you are never out of earshot of Highway 285. So, if you are...More

Meyers Ranch has a few long trails that climb up the hillside so lots of cardio. It's trails are in the trees too so even on hot days it's cooler than some places and with so many miles of trails it rarely feels crowded.

Great trails, very well maintained. We hiked to the top and ran down. There was a lot of traffic noise, but as you got to the top it quieted down and you could hear the wind in the pines. Highly recommend!

A family favorite for a short beautiful tree filled hike. Bit of noise from 285 but very pretty. Easy access from 285. Not too crowded.

This park offers a beautiful hiking trail, picnic benches that are close to the trailhead, and a great sledding hill. Unfortunately, it becomes a sheet of ice quickly so only go right after the snow falls.

I have been hiking Meyer Ranch for years and there is easy, intermediate and advanced hiking here. And the same holds true for mountain biking. The lower loop is beginner level and if you really want a challenge, go to the top - lots of...More
