Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America's ONLY mountain zoo. Large alpine habitats are home to over 950 different animals and approximately 180 species. All of your favorites are here - monkeys, hippos, tigers, elephants and bears (oh my!). Hand-feed their large reticulated giraffe herd, and experience animals up-close, like never before.

I went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for the first time with my grandchildren (teenagers). I have lived here nine years & had been waiting to go with them (they live in IL). We loved it. They live close to the St Louis Zoo & while it is a wonderful zoo this one was a pleasant surprise. It is much... More

I love going to this zoo! We have a family membership this year, which is nice with 4 children, ages 1-6. We go with a picnic lunch and stay for 3-4 hours. I love how close we can get to the animals. My kids' favorites are feeding the giraffes ($3 for 1 or $5 for 2 bunches of lettuce -... More

I visited with my 17 year old daughter and 6 year old niece. We had an amazing time and the diversity of animals is great. We also enjoyed the different planned feeding and demonstrations that the staff had planned. Great time for all ages.

This Zoo is small but amazing! Extremely interactive with the animals! You are able to feed the giraffes literally upon arriving. They also offer feeding the elephants and a rhino! You won't need an entire day to see all this place has to offer unless you simply want to hangout. Also amazing views of Colorado Springs and surrounding valley! We... More

We live in The Springs and we have "zoo passes" because we go as a family at least 3 or 4 times a year and we always take guests when they come in town. We have visited many zoos in the US and Europe and this is our favorite zoo!

The day was a beautiful 68 degree sunny day and we decided to head to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We didn't realize it at the time but the zoo had a special going on ... bring your teddy bear and give it a check up and if the bear (or other stuffed animal) needed repairing the medics would fix it up.... This zoo was exceptional!! It provides feeding of the animals & is laid out very nicely. It does have some steep hills to climb. For all ages.

If you are a giraffe lover this is the place to go! The biggest herd in one zoo that I have ever seen AND the best feeding opportunities! Went on a Saturday and stopped to feed the giraffe 3 x during our 5 hour stay at the zoo. $5 gets you a handful of lettuce and watch out, the giraffe... More

We spent the last day of our vacation at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We arrived just as they were opening because we had an animal encounter booked (and we were flying out in the afternoon). Entry was quick and easy even though the attendant had to call someone to confirm that we were already booked in. The zoo is very... More
