Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America's ONLY mountain zoo. Large alpine habitats are home to over 950 different animals and approximately 180 species. All of your favorites are here - monkeys, hippos, tigers, elephants and bears (oh my!). Hand-feed their large reticulated giraffe herd, and experience animals up-close, like never before.

This Zoo is Very. Well. Done. All in all, a little pricey, but an excellent Zoo, and better (IMO) than Zoos I've visited in Ft Worth, StL, Little Rock, etc. Lots of room, lots of hands-on opportunities, great exhibits, and all of this at a 6800ft elev. Also has a ski/chair lift.

I've only ever been to the Denver Zoo, what a treat this zoo was instead! It's small but we were still there all day with plenty to see and do. You get to be so close to the animals and they all seem genuinely happy! Especially the tigers and gorillas. At the Denver zoo they are always just laying around... More

My wife and I had a good time here. It isn't any more or less exciting than other zoos, but it was all up and down hills, so it made for a long day.

I've been to many zoos over the years and this rates at the top of the list for Small Size Zoos. The exhibits allow the visitors to see the animals up-close and what seems to be in very natural habitats. Several are designed to have people walk among the animals to observe their reactions...Very Cool! Please be prepared to walk... More

We really enjoyed this mountain side zoo, but please note this is literally up the mountain. We traveled with my mom (62), husband and 2 kids and let's just say that me and mom did not make it to an entire part of the zoo. This was a true adventure and the zoo is beautiful. I would come here again... More

If you have enough time and with kids you can enjoy a day here,i liked feeding giraffe most but we didn't have much time to spend there as we are from east coast and was on 8 day vacation, had to cover so many other things so just spend 2 to 3 hr here. It's good but not a must... More

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is an awesome zoo. It is worth making the trip for the giraffe feeding experience alone. It's an awesome experience and pretty cheap. The zoo is unique because it's on the side of the mountain making it a one of a kind zoo experience

A beautiful zoo to visit, that sits on a side of a mountain. Prepare to walk up hills to get around the zoo. Admission also includes the Will Rogers Shrine which you can drive your car up to and have a nice picnic with friends and family along with able to walk inside the shrine itself. The zoo also is... Nice layout with golf cart shuttles for those that have trouble with walking distances or uphill. You could tell that the staff really cares about the animals and the property in general, plus, where else will you feed giraffes. As alot of different species that you don't see in other zoos. There is a smaller interactive zoo with chickens, goats,... More

This zoo is so beautiful and has great exhibits. Do be prepared to walk and make sure to catch the bear show...It's so good! All of the animal training demos are great if you catch the We really like the birds, mountain goats, and monkey house. The sky ride is a great view, but there is not a ton to... More
