Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America's ONLY mountain zoo. Large alpine habitats are home to over 950 different animals and approximately 180 species. All of your favorites are here - monkeys, hippos, tigers, elephants and bears (oh my!). Hand-feed their large reticulated giraffe herd, and experience animals up-close, like never before.

If you want a "zoo experience" with a stunning view, this is your zoo. Everything about this place is well done. From the rental wagons to transport the little people in your group to the thoughtfully designed viewing areas of the beautiful animals, (feeding the giraffes lettuce you can buy for $2 is a "must do" every time we go),... Went with my family and our kids it's so fun there id's a ride that takes you through the entire place with one pmt and if you can ride the lift to the extra level it's worth the price. Fun under the sun

We bought a family season pass because we have so much fun when we visit this zoo. Our favorite part about it is being able to be up close and personal with the giraffe and being able to feed them lettuce leaves and pet them. They are so much fun! The ski lift (sky ride) is my son's favorite!

A day spent at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a can't miss experience. It was the most interactive animal experience we've ever had with up close and personal interactions with the animals - feeding giraffes, an elephant and rhino, plus really informed zoo staff who clearly adore these animals sharing insights and training throughout the day. Check the zoos schedule... More

It was a gorgeous day....at a just as gorgeous zoo. It is literally built into side of mountain....so do be ready for a little work walking through. The giraffe exhibit is out of this world.....loved feeding and petting them. We also paid to feed one of the Elephants..."lucky". That was fun. Otherwise....nice walk, great view, good animal attractions. Very much... More

I've been to a lot of zoos and this is one of the best. The layout and wayfinding is logical and easy to follow...the color-coded zoo sections makes it easy. I really like how well art and play areas are integrated along the walkway and relate to the exhibit that they are next to. Visibility is really good into all... More

Absolutely love this zoo. Beautiful location high on the side of Cheyenne Mountain with great views of the city and closeup access to the animals. Loved feeding the giraffes! Well worth the trip!

We come to Colorado Springs twice a year to visit family and this zoo is always on our list. My kids love feeding the giraffes and tackling the big hills! Bring tennis shoes.. it's a hike up those hills but worth it!

This was an enjoyable zoo visit. The site is small enough to be able to see everything in a reasonable amount of time, yet large enough that you get your money's worth. The kids especially enjoyed the elephants and the giraffes.

We have been to many zoos but this zoo had a very nice layout. All the animals were happy, well cared for. The view was beautiful! This is the best zoo on our list.
