Visited with my family including son who is interested in attending USAFA. What a beautiful location. Easy self guided tour starts at the front gate with a quick DL check and vehicle search. Visitors center has a video of the experience and then you are...More

The architecture and atmosphere of this beautiful AFB is nothing less than breath taking. The chapel will be closed for repairs to years of water damage in 2018, get their soon and don't forget your camera.

Beautifully situated, the Academy is a nice visit. The Chapel is the architectural highlight and should not be missed.

The Air Force Academy sits at the base of a mountain with beautiful views. I enjoyed the Visitors Center with lots of information on the Academy's history. The Chapel is very pretty from outside and I hope to go in if we visit again.

We stopped in to see the Chapel as several people said it is a must see. We did not need a reservation--free entrance. If you want a tour, you would need to set that up beforehand. It is a very unique looking structure from the...More

My daughter and I visited one of our local attractions, and one of only three such academies in our country, The USAFA. It is a definitely a must see experience, with unique architecture, the chapel being the signature, and walking the grounds in the foothills...More

We took the USAFA tour. A very beautiful place. The walk is strenuous and not handicap accessible in some parts. The Cadet Chapel will be undergoing renovation for about 4 years, which is too bad. The Chapel rooms are all decorated beautifully with stained glass...More

The academy is set on a large parcel of land, in an inspirational setting at the foot of the Front Range and west of I-25. There is a small airfield for student flight training, the distinctive shaped chapel services a number of faiths and there...More

The Academy is a part of our country's military heritage. It's fun to see the museum, the cadets, watch the glider launches and then watch the flying, but the "Chapel" is the real Don't Miss Spot. Each major world religion has its own chapel and...More

No cost to visit. You will need a government issue photo ID to enter. Also, be mindful, if traveling with any weapons, they can not be brought into the facility.

It depends on how big your RV is. I don't believe there is room in the visitor center parking lot for a large RV. There probably is room at the PX shopping center, but it is some way from the visitor center. Not sure if they... More
