The highlight of this landmark is the church itself but if you go to the welcome center they have a small movie theater where you can watch and get to know what's it's like to be in USAFA and they have an exhibit in the middle of the gift shop. We went there Sunday good thing around 1 because there... More

Access is limited to public parts of base. Visitor center, field house, athletic fields and chapel. Better visit soon because chapel will be closed for about 4 years for repairs.

The Academy is an extraordinary experience. The location is, well, wonderful set just aside the Front Range. Glider planes soar above, building spires raise upwards and campus is well laid out. Go Air Force!

A visit to the academy was interesting for a lot of reasons. First, its stellar higher education environment, the architecture, its reputation and military mission. The Cadet Chapel was stunning. The chapel is an inspirational architectural landmark, and a great photo opportunity. We went during the week, so we were able to see some of the cadets walking the quad... More

Although public access is restricted being a military facility it is a scenic forested area with multitude of facilities for military members. A campground is also on base.

Another one of those must see places for any pilot! Great vistas, interesting institution, living history all around. But it felt like visiting a National Park within a military academy! And I'll be honest and say that I prefer Annapolis any day. Go Navy, Beat Air Force :-)

First visited the academy in 1968 and I can't believe how this place hasn't changed much over the years. If your a military brat you will love this place and it's history. If your not you will still be glad you visited.
