Great view of the distant Garden of the Gods. Beautiful red rock canyon. Beautiful fields of sunflowers. Walkable trails. Loved it except that it was hard to tell whether the trail looped around, or how we should get back to our parking lot. The occasional maps didn't have "you are here" markings, and the only time the parking lot had signage was after you made it back to within a few feet of it.

Beautiful red rock formations, wild flowers & views of the mountains. Was there with little kids so stayed on the road but still got to see some really nice views & rocks and got gorgeous family pictures. The road could use some help; we saw some sedans driving but an SUV is definitely recommended The drive to the park along CO Rd. 9 is very nice as well. Many GPS systems direct you to the wrong end of the park, I don't think you can make it through from that way. Make sure you come to County RD F24 from County Rd. 9, not from County Rd 69.

Red Canyon is a beautiful park. As for camping, the last few times we have been out there to camp its been kind of ruined by local kids with a lot of loud music and people just being disrespectful to fellow campers and the environment. It would be better if people would be a little more courteous and respectful.

This is a beautiful park with some great red rock formations. However, the last few times I tried to go out, I had to turn around because the road was in such bad shape. They used to be kept up. Five stars for scenery, One star for roads, unless you four wheel. Watch out for rattlesnakes!

The drive to get here is long. Long I mean. And for your run of the mill view? Nothing exciting or something you can not get anywhere else.

Nice place to expore and see some great things about Colorado, just don't wear your favorite pair of shoes. they maybe be discolored by the red rock dirt.

Red Canyon Park is aptly named, with the ubiquitous red rock providing great scenery around every corner. There are some nice picnic spots, but they're all next to the road. With no legitimate trails, there's not much here for people who want to see nature on foot out in the open rather than from behind a windshield.

Really nice hiking trails from visitor center with great views and far fewer visitors than the nearby big national parks.
Definitely worth a stop. Very helpful staff in visitor center.

Absolutely gorgeous and we were so lucky to see the male Deer fighting (I could've sat there all day). Its an easy hike around and some day I will go see a concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater ( I cried when I saw Luke Combs was playing there and I couldn't go).

We took to this area just to see some sights late on a Saturday evening. It is way out there a distance from town and feels isolated although we passed some campers. The roads and occassional rock formations are all red, red, red and will get your shoes red too. The place actually did’t feel all that safe as it is so far back in the mountains and we drove through but didn’t stay long. But a pretty drive.

How far into the park can you drive a normal car before the road gets bad and are there nice views from there?

What kind of views are accessible from the road without hiking?
We are coming with 3 toddlers so we can't really do any hiking.

You can stay on the road, it is not for a comfort car, but the red rocks are gorgeous, and places to pull over and take pictures.
