Who would expect a phenomenal golf course in an area where the chief industry is prisons? Not I. However, when I read this course was a Jim Engh- designed course, I had to check it out. This is a fun and challenging course. This is one of those courses that lets you appreciate the game of golf. The layout and... More

Actually the golf course layout itself was pretty good, but the greens???...a different story. There is so much undulation in some, actually MOST, of the greens that one has to wonder why in the sam hill did the course designer do this to this course layout? There had to be some greens where there's a valley running through the center... More

On a vacation to see the sights in this part of Colorado (Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge, etc.), my father and I decided to take a timeout for a round of golf at Four Mile Ranch. What a nice gem of a course this turned out to be. Billy in the clubhouse (trailer, as others have noted) was very friendly and... More

The course is unique, winding through the arroyo and high desert plateau surrounding Canon City. Staff is excellent. Rental clubs are brand new Adams ... very nice. Greens were impeccable. We really enjoyed our round and will be back when we visit Colorado again.

This Jim Engh designed course is a hidden jewel at the "gateway to the Rockies". With generous fairways and trademark undulating greens, this course is both fun & challenging. The staff is friendly and the grounds crew keeps this course in fantastic shape. The greens fees are quite reasonable and it's a easy drive from practically anywhere along the Front... More

The most forgivable golf course I've ever played on. Very unique, beautiful views everywhere. Nice shape, yet it still is challenging. Love it.

Played the course the last weekend of June and it was in great shape with lush grass providing a good lie on the fairways and consistent and true roll on the the greens. Being from Florida, this was a very different course for me. Lots of elevation changes and "interesting" greens. The course uses the natural terrain to create a... More

This golf has a little bit of everything in terms of variations of holes to difficulty of greens. My brother and I played the Wednesday after Memorial Day at 9:00 a.m. and the weather was great. Everywhere you look on this course is spectacular views of mountains or the valley. The course is well kept and in excellent condition. They... More

It is an interesting course. Lots of hills and greens in a bowl. Had a snake join me at the 4th green.

My playing partner and I had markedly different views of this course which we played 8/3/14. I found it to be an original, interesting and challenging track. My playing partner found it gimmicky and more like a giant putt-putt course. So here is the good and bad. First, you'll approach the course through a dusty parking lot. The trailer pro... More
