Saw a programme on TV before we left Ireland on Colorado which featured this train ride , but we found it very difficult to find info on it while visiting Colorado Springs , Our hotel did not have any info on it , which was strange as I can honestly say it was one of the best attractions we visited... My husband and I are frequent riders on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad Lunch/Dinner trains and are always impressed with the service we have received on each visit. Yesterday being no exception! However, this time we'd like to give a very special young lady a shout out for going above and beyond to save Mother's Day from being ruined for... More

Booked the vista car for my son, daughter in law, husband, two small children! Everyone was friendly made sure we had everything we needed and apologized when drinks were delayed. Enjoyed the views and would do it again. The food prices were a little high so we chose to eat later but it all looked good

We did the 12:30 run in the Club Car and had lunch. Our party numbered 4, the total damage for the ride was appx $220 and lunch was appx $15 a piece. We were in the T. Roosevelt car. If they are running this car get odd numbered seats. That's the side of the car that the river is on,... More

It's a very easy 2 hour drive from Denver to the station. We had a beautiful sunny day for our trip and spent 95% of the trip in the open air car. The views are beautiful and the little bit of history shared by the staff was interesting too. We had coach seats which was the way for us to... More

Hey, just took a ride on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Had beautiful seats in the dome car with spectacular vistas. Our hostess Chelsea was wonderful to us with a friendly smile, great service, excellent food. This is a great way to spend a leisurely afternoon.

We drove from our stay in Colorado Springs to Canon City for this excursion. It's worth going early, or staying after to enjoy the park by the rail station along the Arkansas River. The train ride is amazing. We sat on the river side and the views were just gorgeous. The train went at a slow enough pace to take... More

My husband and I went on this May 1st 2017 for our 35th anniversary and it was a wonderful experience with beautiful scenery along the way. Johnny C. was our server and he was great and the bison burger was very good . Prompt service and also always checked on us if we needed anything else also. He also pointed... More

This is a beautiful gorge to see by train. We went for grandmas birthday with kids ranging from baby to 7. The kids from 3-7 loved it and so did the adults. We spent most of the time on the open car- don't forget your sunscreen. The real bummer about that is the guides didn't speak outside so we missed... More

This amazing location in Colorado is spectacular whether viewed from above or below. The railway which travels alongside the Arkansas river which flows beneath is both relaxing and exciting. It grants a view of the colorful rocks from right beside them, and gives a unique perspective on the Royal Gorge as you view it from the ground up.....and up.......and up.... More
