My son & I had plan on visiting this place a couple of years ago but didn’t go, this time we finally went it was worth it. It was a little windy, couldn’t take them tram across the river. The views over the bridge were breathtaking.
Thank you for visiting our beautiful park and taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad you enjoyed your trip. It does tend to be a little breezy here and we’re sorry you were not able to ride the aerial gondola. We hope you will be able to ride it next time you visit. We recommend arriving early in the day when the weather is most cooperative. Deb Royal Gorge Park and Bridge

Worth a trip. With no kids, this is a short trip with pretty views.
April 2023, no crowds, and the weather was perfect. This is a suspense bridge but NOT a swinging bridge. The walk across was easy. My husband rode the gondola back to the main entrance side but I walked across the bridge and back. The views of the Arkansas River and the mountains were beautiful. If we had more time we would have booked the train ride through the gorge.
Thank you for visiting the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park! We are delighted you enjoyed your trip. We hope to see you again!

    Via Ferrata was amazing
We were a family of 4 that did a private via ferrata Royal Tour. Our guide was Allie and she was wonderful. We could not have asked for a better guide. The Royal tour is an incredible experience. When you sign up for a private tour you will be one of the first to enter the park and have the bridge to yourself. All of your gear is supplied for you and we had a break for lunch. Bring your own water bottle!! I find it strange the amount of people who do not have water with them. I personally used hiking gloves and I am glad I did.
Thank you for visit to Royal Gorge Bridge and Park and adventuring on our Via Ferrata course! Thank you for the great advice for wearing hiking gloves! We hope you can visit again!

    Quick trip
We walked the bridge which was great, but not sure that it’s worth $70 for 2 adults. I believe the gondola ride was included but we did not ride it as I’m terrified of heights and already struggled with the moving wooden plank bridge that tractors and jeeps were crossing! !!
It can be frustrating when a park seems too expensive, especially if it limits your ability to enjoy the attractions or amenities. We have a lot to offer in the Park for all ages including the scenic views from the bridge. We offer discounts if you book your tickets on our website. We have a military discount, and others. Also, if you didn't get a chance to take everything in, you can come back the next day by getting your ticket validated at the Visitor Center on your way out. Due to our location and lack of city amenities, our operating expenses are similar to that of a small town. Many guests do not know that we have our own water treatment plant in order to have potable water in the park. We do try to keep our prices in line with similar attractions, despite these added costs. Thank you for visiting us and sharing your experience; we appreciate your feedback.

Really pretty but not worth the cost
This is really pretty and also really expensive. I don’t think it’s worth the cost. Included in your ticket is the gondola ride, walk across the bridge, and their free movie. The zip lining and rock climbing are extra add ons. If this were free or even $15 per person I’d give it 5 stars. But to charge $35 is a bit outrageous for what it is. You can see the Grand Canyon for less.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We do have different pricing options including Early Bird and End of Day pricing, on-line discount, Military, and others. Many guests do not know that we have our own water treatment plant in order to have potable water in the park. We do try to keep our prices in line with similar attractions, including the price for the Royal Rush Skycoaster and the hands free Cloudscraper Zip Line despite these added costs. We hope you were able to watch the Birds of Prey presentation with the raptors showing off their skills in the Plaza Theater, rode the Daisy's Carousal, or enjoyed an ice cream from Dippin Dots.

Good fun. The wife was a bit uncomfortable with a section of the warm up course where it is slab-y. For the main course we did the "hard" route which had all the rods that she likes. Bit exposed but easy, good fun.
Thank you for visiting Royal Gorge Bridge and Park and experiencing the Via Ferrata! We hope you will visit with us again.

    Not worth the cost
Overpriced for what you get. We walked across the bridge and back because gondola not running because of wind. Went into theater to see short movie, very juvenile. Man who came in and spoke before film kept his back turned to the audience the whole time….looking at an empty screen. We, and most of the audience, were all laughing because no one could understand a word he was saying! View from the bridge was great but certainly not worth $35 each!
We appreciate your taking the time to review your experience while in the park and are sorry the aerial gondola was unavailable during your visit. For the safety of our guests, it is necessary to temporarily close this ride due to weather You can get your ticket validated at the Visitor Center when you leave to come back the next day. The morning seems to be better for the wind. When we get all the snow melted on the mountains, the wind should be better in Colorado. Wish you were able to take in the Birds of Prey in the theater. It is an interactive show with raptors showing off their flying skills. Many guests do not know that we have our own water treatment plant in order to have potable water in the park. We do try to keep our prices in line with similar attractions, despite these added costs. Thank you for visiting us and sharing your experience; we appreciate your feedback.

    Royal Gorge Bridge
This is the second time we have been to the bridge. This time we brought my 83 y/o father in law. I think he was a little skeptical about a bridge to no were but he loved it. There has been a lot done around the bridge sense we were there last. They still have the gondola that takes you across the gorge, they also have a swing that swings you out over the gorge (NO THANKS!). They have done a lot with the grounds, flowers and a koi pond and you can feed them. They have put in a kids play area that looks really nice (we saw several kids playing). There is a stage for music events. I think the movie they are showing about the gorge is new also, It is vey cute and informative. The bridge is still beautiful and the view is amazing. There is a flag for each state that you can take pictures with on the bridge. There is a couple of restaurants for lunch or a snack/refreshments, the BBQ is pretty good. Bathrooms are clean and the gift shop has plenty to see and of corse collect those momentous.
Thank your for visiting Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. We are very excited that you had a great time. We appreciate the informative review! We hope to see you again soon!

    Kinda worth it...depending
I was disappointed this time around. Though it's been years since I was last here, I think that the changes have resulted in this location being a bit "sterile". The " small town" look is gone, opting for a "cleaner" look that, for me, takes away the original ambiance of this location. I am also disappointed that the vertical railway is no longer working. I've enjoyed going down to the river level in the past. The view is still breathtaking and worth the visit, but the gift shop is much smaller than it was in the past, this limits the selection. The cafeteria is the same way. Overall the experience was average, except for the view which is spectacular.
Thank you for your feedback. It has been a long uphill road rebuilding the Park from the wildland fire. The only things that survived the fire were the bridge, theater, Cliffside Patio, Skycoaster and our Big Horn Lodge. We had to rebuild the Visitor Center, Gondola, Water Clock, Zip Line, and Juniper Junction and have added attractions we didn't have before like the Tommyknockers Playland. It has a new carousal, splashpad, shooting gallery and two story jungle gym.. We have the Birds of Prey presentation in the theater with the raptors flying about. A new video and the artifacts in there as well. We wish we good rebuild the vertical railway and are continually brainstorming on old and new attractions. We will post all new attractions on the web-site. We appreciate you leaving us your review. It helps in letting us know what guest like and what they want to see more of.

Great views, might not be worth the price.
There are some terrific views and photo opportunities here. However, the price is really high. The day we went the aerial gondola was not operating. We were told that was due to lightning in the area. I never saw any, but I also don’t know their required safety radius for lightning. It was also very windy, which might have contributed. But when you’re paying that much to get in, it’s a real bummer not to get to take advantage of all the attractions included in the admission price. I don’t regret going, but I don’t think I’d ever go back a second time. There are many other beautiful vistas to see throughout the area.
Thank you for visiting Royal Gorge Park and Bridge. Two things that shut the Gondola down are the lighting and the wind. I am sorry it had to shut down. The manufacture sets the wind tolerance on each ride, so for the safety of guest we must abide. You can get your tickets validated when you leave at the Visitor Center to return the next day, if you wish. It seems the mornings are the best times for weather. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Your feedback is important to us.

Not worth the drive for $40 a car load. The visitors center closed at 4 and it’s dark at the first Tour so you can’t see the gorge.
The elves are super creepy they decorated with.

Overpriced but is an incredible site and engineering accomplishment. Walking across the bridge is very cool nice background explanations at the visitor center. Walk to different viewpoints seemed to challenge some folks there. A little wind on bridge unnerved a few. Go earlier so you can spend some time and get best light. Parking lot was not greatest but this is an older structure and whole set up was before the kind of roads we have now. Very clean site

We were driving between Alamosa and Manitou Springs, CO and decided to make a stop for the hike to the Royal Gorge Overlook. We did not pay to go into the park or walk on the bridge. The hike to the Overlook can be reached by turning South on CR 3A. Drive 3.5 mi to a parking lot on your left. The Trailhead is on your right. About a mile or so to the end of the trail on your left and you'll find where you can get a view of the Royal Gorge Bridge. We enjoyed the excursion and glad we got to view the bridge. We didn't need to pay to go in to walk it.

Very beautiful views from the bridge, a river below and lots of mountains. There is zip lining and other activities if you’re into that, there is also a restaurant and gift shop. Cash and credit card accepted, such as touch to pay if you’re wondering.

This should be on everyone's list of Colorado highlights. They told us when we entered if the winds were too bad the gondola would be closed and there would be no refund. When we got to the trail leading up to it there was a sign posted it was closed. However the zip line is next to it and the sign did not say it was closed so we made the long steep trek up to it. It was also CLOSED! It was super irritating to have wasted the time. I asked the young people in the ticket booth why the sign didn't include the zip line. They could not have cared less--as if it was my fault for not knowing.

The bridge itself is very cool and quite the engineering marvel. It was the highest suspension bridge in the world until recently. It takes about 20 minutes to cross it. On the other side is a movie theater, restaurant and carousel. When we were there, it was too windy for the gondolas. The place is well done, but if the gondolas aren’t running, the price is too steep for what you get and I would skip it. The film was made to entertain children but was a bit distracting for adults. The staff was very nice.

Check the wind speed before you go. If with wind is ~30 MPH, the gondola will not be running. Call ahead to confirm if this is a requirement for you.

As a few others have noted, although it is not posted on the website/app, you will receive a nice discount if you purchase your tickets before 10am. I believe it was $21 (vs $30) per adult, with a similar discount for other categories.

The theater on the other side of the bridge has a 17 minute video. The video had a high production quality, and was pretty entertaining for all ages. There are some newspaper clippings and other artifacts in the room, so go a few minutes early to check these out.

We went early on a weekday, so there were no wait or a short wait for the gondola. I could definitely see how this would not be the case during the high season or weekends however.

Overall I was skeptical of the value given the ticket price, but the overall experience was excellent and I would highly recommend. The included gondola rides were great, and we spent over an hour playing in the playground.
