This is ridgetop road that has great views and does not add much time to the drive to or from Royal Gorge and Canon City. It is narrow and the sides are steep so if you are afraid of heights be prepared.

Quick drive up. Scary if you don't like heights. Be sure and pull off and get out of your car to see the footprints along the way.

We rode our Harley on Skyline Drive. Glad we did it, but don't need to do it again. It was disappointingly short. From all the hype we heard about it, it was just so so.

The 1st time I drove over this road, it wasn't paved and was a little scary! But now it's a paved, 1 way road. It's an awesome view if you're not afraid of heights!

Amazing vistas to both the east and west. Look for the dinosaur tracks before you get to the top on the left side.

This drive was terrifying but worth it. The views are absolutely beautiful. We drove thru at sunset shortly after storms. Take the risk!

I am a retired geologist so nothing else to say. BUT, great views of Canon City. Yep, narrow road but you're in Colorado. Get used to it. Like someone else said, It's FREE!

This review is about Skyline Drive in Canon City, Colorado, not South Carolina. The former is about 3mi long. No clue about SC's.

I would not try it. There's a tight turn at the end that takes you back (down) in the opposite direction. In addition, wind can be an issue with a high-profile vehicle. It's not windy everyday, but this is the Front Range of... More
