This quick trip is well worth the time as long as the driver is attentive. The dinosaur footprints were particularly impressive.

I thoroughly enjoyed driving this road exploring the rocky ridge along which it runs, a striking geological feature of the Canon City area. There are good text panels about fossils and dinosaur footprints. It does not take very long but richly rewards the curious.

Scary as HELL!! Not for the faint of heart. Shear drop-offs on both sides of this road (trail). It's totally negotiable, but it will definitely get your attention (and not much scares me) but this drive will make you sit up and pay attention..... and...More

Great views, had a great drive over after eating at Whitewater Bar & Grill. Would recommend to check out if you haven't been before. Good spot to hangout up top and then an easy drive back down.

Great views of Canon City. Dinosaur footprints are cool as well. You will want to get out of your car to take pics!

NOT a scary drive. Would be a good hike. Plenty of pull-offs and plenty of places to enjoy the views. Go up there either very early or very late in the day for the best views.

Took this little side trip after returning from the Royal Gorge Bridge. It's paved but no guard rails and sheer drop offs. One-way only so no turning back. 15 mph and pay attention to the road. Fun drive! Go to YouTube for thrilling videos.

Definitely worth the drive, but not in bad weather. Its a narrow road with no shoulder and long steep dropoffs.

This review is about Skyline Drive in Canon City, Colorado, not South Carolina. The former is about 3mi long. No clue about SC's.

I would not try it. There's a tight turn at the end that takes you back (down) in the opposite direction. In addition, wind can be an issue with a high-profile vehicle. It's not windy everyday, but this is the Front Range of... More
