One of my favorite places at Breckenridge, peak 9 has greens to warm up, blues to cruise and some blacks to challenge yourself a bit. My favorite run is Upper Lehman, long, windy, sometimes a little steep, with some nice jumps off to the sides. You can do this run 3-4 times and make it different each time.

A good variety of runs with fast chairs. Rarely any lift lines except at weekends - and even then, not awful! Spencer's at the Beaver Run resort is best place to eat. Overlook near the top is ok. One of the better on mountain options.

Peak 9 has really wide green's and is a great place to learn. Also "Chair A" provides an opportunity to get a little higher on the greens and it's not as hectic as quicksilver.

Good peak for those with children due to the easy greens. It does tend to get crowded however. I prefer the quicksilver lift with kids. Recommend bonanza for an easy blue but quicksilver won't take you there.

Staying at Beaver Run Resort was so convenient to the Peak 9 ski area. The lift is right outside the door. The lifts are fast and the runs are long and not crowded because they have many of them. The trails are finely groomed and family friendly with lots of moderate blues and greens to enjoy.

My husband and I are both beginner skiers and had so much fun on Peak 9. It was a perfect beginner slope that kept us happy for our 3 days of skiiing!

Peak 9 is a great place for beginners, our grand daughters loved their ski lessons here. Peak 8 was better for more experienced skiers.

We stayed at the base of Peak 9 while skiing at Breck this year. It was very convenient. With a little planning you can be across to any other peak with just a few runs. Lifts are fast, lines kept short, lots of terrain to explore.

I think Peak 9 might be considered the heart of Breckenridge Ski Resort. The entrance to Peak 9 is located at the intersection of Main & S. Park Avenue. The village is what most people call it. There is parking across the street in the F lot, but you will not get a spot there unless you are there at... More
