Whatever you fancy - hiking, running or biking - the Flatirons are a must-visit if you're in the Boulder area. Try going up Green Mountain, that's my personal favorite. It's tough but well worth it for the views from the top!

Spectacular views in every season of the year. The road travels into the mountain along the Flatirons.

Just to let you know you have to go all the way up on the trail which is not for those who are out of shape. Then it goes down which is easier and faster. Bring lots of water and take lots of breaks. Serious scenic views on many parts of the trail.

Definitely need to stop by to see the flat irons. From a distance they don't look all that cool but when you get up close to them they are really amazing! Beautiful scenery. You won't be disappointed if you plan to spend the day here.

The Flatirons make a great back drop to Boulder and have various options to explore. Safe, clean and accessible with nice though not spectacular scenery.

Easily one of the best and most beautiful hikes I have ever done. Close to CU Boulder, combines beautiful views, great terrain and gets the heart pumping.

Followed a suggested route by the visitors office where maps are available. So many trails to choose from depending on what distance and elevation you are looking for. Very nice but need to challenge all those that have it a "5". It was very good but what would the hiking at Bryce, Zion and Arches National Parks rate compared to Flatirons? It was a fun and vigorous hike that won't disappoint the most avid hiker.
