Very accessible trails right next to the Chautauqua Park! I'd highly recommend the Flatirons summit trail that leads you to the very top overlooking both the Boulder Valley and the Rockies as part of Rocky Mountain National Park!

The best thing to do is make it an easy hike- there is a kind of “rock garden” area on the plateau by the NCAR building. It’s flat and there are trees and lots of rocks to climb on for about 1/4 mile. Your toddler can have fun ( look out for cactus- have them wear sturdy shoes) and you can have some outside time.
