Very accessible trails right next to the Chautauqua Park! I'd highly recommend the Flatirons summit trail that leads you to the very top overlooking both the Boulder Valley and the Rockies as part of Rocky Mountain National Park!

This is a really interesting formation to see. We just took a short walk here but there are adventurous people climbing these.

Drive past these every day. There is a pull over on Hwy 93 between Golden and Boulder where people stop and take pictures. The rising Sun at your back makes for beautiful scenery.

Unbelievable mountain views, great hikes with super easy access. Trails for almost all levels. Great place to get away right outside of Boulder, extremely close, even though you are minutes away.

the flatirons are an amazing backdrop to the town giving boulder its iconic look. i dont think it would be the same with out.

I’m not certain as I’ve only been there once but I don’t see why not! I did it in 90 degree weather so a little cooler would be nice!

The best thing to do is make it an easy hike- there is a kind of “rock garden” area on the plateau by the NCAR building. It’s flat and there are trees and lots of rocks to climb on for about 1/4 mile. Your toddler can have... More
