This was my first ever trip to a box Canyon. Nice views of the snow and ice by the creek. Very scenic views. I will try the trails when they aren’t so icy.

Wow! What a great day trip to see great rock formations and a wonderful river running through the middle of the park. Can be a crowded road and parking on holidays. Yet, we went on the 4th of July and it was manageable

In a state park that often fills up early, but great setting in a canyon with an active rive and a few great hikes. Also, nice picnice area, which also fills early, but wort the trip. State park fees apply.

An amazing park. Easy to find - the road ends into the park. Of note, the road turns into packed dirt about a mile before the park and remains that way into the park. $8 daily fee or Colorado yearly state pass required. Recommend driving...More

My friend had a stroke 2 years ago and doesn't get out in nature much. The drive to the canyon was beautiful but what was most important to us is that Eldorado Canyon State Park had a trail that was handicapped accessible. It was Fowlers...More

Make the time to At least have a snack by the rushing water. You can walk Fowler trail, it’s more like a walk than a hike. A short walk will give you great views. Go all the way to the visitor center parking lot when you get... More

It is very much worth it! There is no strenuous hiking if you follow the Fowler Trail. Bring comfortable sneakers.
