I went twice recently and took 2 different routes based on the effort level of my company. There’s not a bad view anywhere. Loved hiking here

Hiked 4-5 mikes on varied terrain behind the dining hall. Restaurant server was great and food just as good. Saylor out on pot LR has overlooking scenic gardens filled with butterflies.

Wife and I spent two nights at Chautauqua. Great getaway without TV. Quaint, fully furnished cabin. Wonderful staff and interesting guests. Full service restaurant, BLD. Great hiking trails and scenery. Highly recommended.

Weekends are very busy and you'll have lots of company on the trails, but if you go midweek, you can enjoy the mountains.

Lovely views of the flatirons and a nice little park/venue. We had a fun time climbing around on the little kids' rocks in the park and had lots of fun with editing the pics later.

Despite the warnings of difficulties finding parking, we found a convenient place to park. Then we visited the ranger office to find a trail to the top that would match our hiking skills.

There is a visitors center. I would suggest checking in with the visitors center for most recent wildlife reports. Be safe ... use common sense ... never ever engage a bear if encountered. Read up on what to do if you... More
