I have been on the walking tour at the ranch 2 times. It is very informative and it is wonderful to see where Seabiscuit spent his retirement years. I love horses and anything to do with them. It is a great family day trip.

Big fans of biography by Laura Hillenbrand, so we were excited to get to see this. Didn't learn until we arrived that tours didn't start until June, but we were still welcome to look around. The Seabiscuit statue was cool but obviously mid-maintenance (ladder, rags, jar of polish left out). Stud barn was attractive but locked up. Hilly setting very... More

Anyone who loves the excitement of horse racing should visit Ridgewood Ranch. We visited on September 6, 2014. Tracy was the guide for our walking tour. He had an excellent knowledge of the history of the ranch which was home for horse racing legend "Sea Biscuit". My wife had a special connection with this ranch since her Uncle was once... More

I wanted to have the tour because I am very interested in the Seabiscuit story. Not only was the tour guide, Tracy, very knowledgeable and presented information about the ranch in an engaging way but also had the chance to see Seabiscuit statue, stall, stud barn and descendant (a Lil Biscuit). Tracy explained the history of the Pomo Indians who... More

We were lucky to be here on just the day for the bi - monthly tour of Seabiscuit's home. Tour was led by guide who has lived there since the 70s & has been restoring many of the buildings. He had so many great stories about the 200+ years of history. We also met Bronze Sea, a gorgeous and imperious... More

I grew up going to the ranch a couple of times a year to visit my fathers family. I would stay with one of my aunts or my grandmother. I always loved my time there. Going to the dining room with my cousins for a night time snack. Aunt Lorraine always made the best cakes and pies!!! I haven't been... More

This ranch lies in a picturesque valley near the top of Ridgewood Summit just off of U.S. 101. The scenery takes your breath away! You can tour the Seabiscuit ranch (make reservations) and there is an RV campground there as well. There are white deer, mule deer, wild turkeys, jack rabbits, and coyotes easily spotted from the roads.

The lovingly way they have kept the history of Seabiscuit alive is very special. The grounds are just beautiful and if possible take the time to look at the organic gardens.
