Groves Of Natural Cathedrals

For 40 years, I hiked along trails in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Each grove is a natural cathedral where you will feel awe and humility.

I was in awe the entire walks my husband and I took. Redwood after redwood continued to amaze us. Impossible to describe with words the impact these woods have on a person!!!! Visitors center interesting and the staff was "on top" of everything!!! Even the on and off rain could not "dampen" our experience.

If you want to see the redwoods up close then this is definitely the place for you. Miles of trees, plenty of places to park and go for a walk or long hike. This is one of those you have to see it to believe it locations, you just can't do it justice with pictures.

This was very cool. I enjoyed myself and my kids loved it too. Family fun! The hikes were very full of sights and photo opportunities! I enjoyed all the scenery. At first I doubted it but it was cool! Definitely worthy to go to!

The redwoods are a spiritual experience. Their enormous size, color, quiet and majesty is truly breathtaking. Take a camera....you will want pictures. The road through the Redwoods State Park winds and curves through some of the last remaining Giant Redwoods in the world. My research indicates that the coastal region of Northern California is among the 2 locations in the... More

Even though the heavy rains closed portions of this drive, with a few fallen trees, river swelling, etc., there was still over 20 miles worth of viewing left to capture along the route. Breathtaking views of mammoth trees, listed as tallest in the world (other Redwood parks in California also list record holders- as they come close in height). You... More

Going here will definitely show how beautiful nature is. These trees were phenomenal and their grandeur has to be seen to believe.

Take the time to drive off of highway 101 and do this at least once in yiur life. Certainly it would be lovely to hike and camp in the summer, but even in the winter on a rainy day the drive was delightful. Such grand old trees!

Driving among these giants is, dare I say, a life changing experience. One cannot describe the feeling of being surrounded by these ancient beings. Plenty of stop and hike opportunities make it easy to spend a day or more exploring the solitude of roaming the redwoods. Get lost and find yourself!

The weather was cooler and a bit rainy, but that didn't dampen the experience at all! Standing in the midst of such magnificent beauty not only soothes the soul but enriches the spirit!
