Free place. Good spot to get out and stretch your legs, good view of the mountain and fresh air. Real big sculptures to look at. Powerful place.

I don't understand how anyone could not give this five stars. First of all, it's free. Second of all, it's a park featuring beautiful, well-made sculptures depicting one man's ideas of war and everything that comes with it (loss of limbs and loss of life, but also nurses stepping in to help save lives), It's just off Highway 97, and... This attraction is primely placed at the base of Mt. Shasta (though located just past Lake Shastina) the views and nature walks add to the feeling of the gardens. With large scale sculptures rising in the distance as you walk on a dusty trail from your car, the symbolism and emotion in the pieces will shock you. Who would've guessed... More

This attraction would be very easy to miss and that would be a shame because it is so powerful. We stopped by late in the afternoon/early evening and had the place all to ourselves, which was nice for some quiet reflection. My husband headed off in one direction and I in the other. The sculptures are down different, short walking... More

Wonderful, enchanting, sad, strange. A must see. Don't forget to take pictures. It's on the right side of the road if you're heading south from Oregon. Watch for it. Easy to miss the sign

We have passed by this place many times but did not know of its existence until recently. We found it to be a sacred space for contemplation and remembering friends lost. We so appreciate the artist and the effort to honor our history. There was no entry fee but we did pick up a brochure and plan to send a... More

We've driven past this site many times, so on this occasion we decided to stop. These sculptures will not be to everyone's taste. They are abstract and unusual. They're also interesting. With themes all about peace and unity, these sculptures can also stimulate thought and discussion. I recommend stopping by, spending a few minutes or a couple of hours, and... More

This is a place on the side of Hwy 97, North of Weed,Ca. in the shadow of Mt Shasta. The sculptures all tell a story, that make you stop and reflect their meaning and purpose. This is a memorial to all who have given their lives so that we all can be free. If you go too fast going toward... More
