We stopped to eat lunch and were disappointed there just isn't much there. There is a covered bridge. One person in our party went under and saw the sprinkler system to protect it from far....that was amazing. Toilets are not great.

The history center consists of historic structures from different eras of Yosemite history. Don’t pass up if you have the time. I especially liked the covered bridge.

My wife and I saw this centre when driving past and decided to stop. It was free though donations are suggested. It was fascinating to see the covered bridge and other buildings from so long ago. There is plenty of parking and good washrooms.

We stumbled on this building museum by accident and were pleasantly surprised. A collection of a dozen (or so) structures give some perspective into Yosemite's pioneer past. Free with admission to Yosemite.

We came on a Wednesday in mid September and it was pretty dead. None of the buildings except the stage exhibit area were open. There were 4 horses in the stables. No stage rides. But, we enjoyed walking around anyway because it brought back memories...More

If you are staying in the area it is worth the visit, but probably not worth the drive otherwise. If you have some extra time you can drive about a mile or two down the road and do the swinging bridge hike. It only takes...More

Now this is what the original park headquarters seems to have been. Really could see the travelers of the time going through here. Nicely kept.

All the buildings were closed but we walked the small village. The covered bridge was beautiful and felt like we were in New England. Dog friendly are to get some exercise.
