Beautiful tails and view of San Pablo Bay. Great for the family, could be windy so be prepared. Bring a snack/water and enjoy a nice hike.

Many things happening on Mare Island it's awesome to have this available 10 minutes from home. Lots of walking trails, interesting sights, fun art studios, and even a winery! Wonderful place to hang out by the water. Great views.

This is a history buff's delight. IT was once the largest CONUS submarine base/facility in the US Navy. Viewing the dry docks, repair facilities, and seeing just how our Naval personnel worked and resided was FANTASTIC. View many of the old buildings was great also...More

There are several roads with light traffic for easy bike rides. Lots of parking and interesting old buildings to see. There are several places for a picnic.

The Sardine Can and Zio Fraedo on the waterfront are close to the bridge to Mare Island. Napoli is on Tennesee St. a short distance from the Mare Island bridge.
