If you see the picture that accompanies this facility, it shows a roller coaster. The actual park closed a few years ago due to the park raising entrance fees so high that no one could afford to go. The only things still available to do are the merry go round and the train.

The nut tree family theme Park, did not meet expectations, It was losing money. So they tore it down. There is a small area in front of the stores, where they saved the train and the carousel. So you can still ride the Nut Tree train although it's in a circle, the children still like it. Of course the carousel is a lot of fun. I thought it would be important to give this review, because I know how it feels to drive somewhere, and find out that attraction you are looking for no longer exists.

Not enough Russian activities, too many children, ghosts everywhere, a small man begging for "Supreme rat sacks".

Tacky shops, tacky people. Really sad to think of what the Nut Tree used to be. Now the iconic sign is gone they should stop pretending they have anything to do with the Nut Tree. Do yourself a favor and just go to your own Best Buy or Old Navy or whatever chain business you'll find here.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the original Nut Tree was a landmark family-owned and family-friendly restaurant, with a magnificent aviary full of gorgeous tropical birds in the center of the place. (Also a great gift shop with lots of artwork and aviation artifacts.) The original Nut Tree closed about 15 years ago, and they replaced it with this trashy strip mall. About the only good thing is the Nut Tree airport is still operational (and Boudin's is opening one of their branch cafes next month).

The roller coaste that is shown has not been in operationg for over 9 years. All they have is a silly train that todlers and young kids will enjoy and a merry go round, other than that the Nut Tree Family park was a decent little park 9+ years ago but now is not more than a shopping center!

My 3 year old daughter loves coming here and riding the train and carousel. The fee is $2/ride for each and very reasonable. There are other play structures there as well. Lots of places to eat so come and stay for a few hours- you'll love it!

This was opened for a very short time. The family park is gone but a nice shopping area is in its place. There is still the carousel and little train in the parking lot, but that's about it. The train is often broken down. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if you live here, it's a fun place to take the little kids and shop

If you happen to be in the vicinity of Vacaville and your kids like riding on a merry-go-round or a 10 minute mini train ride then check this place out at least one time. Other than that, almost everything here's a bit pricey. The usual places I frequent here are Panera Bread, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Amici's Italian Kitchen and Spice Thai Kitchen.
