This park was a pleasant surprise. As other reviewers have noted, you only pay the park entrance fee if you park within the park boundaries. Leashed dogs are allowed. You can park outside the gate and walk in and not be ticketed. So that is what I did Thanksgiving morning (yesterday) with my two dogs. I was surprised at how... More

I love to run. Most of my runs are on sidewalks and streets. It is a good workout physically. But if I want to rejuvenate spiritually, I take my runs to Lagoon Valley. I have the park to myself 6-8 am. There is usually not another soul in site except for the roaming cows which are very friendly by the... More

This unassuming place is tucked away off I-80, between Fairfield and Vacaville. Close to the freeway. A historical society maintains the Pena Adobe which also has a very small museum documenting the life of the earliest Pioneers/Europeans to come to this area - Mr. Pena and his family. The adjacent and further the curiously named Lagoon Valley park has a... More

The Lagoon Valley/Pena Adobe area is a great place to go for the day to spend some time outdoors. There are plenty of options on things to do, including various hiking trails, bike trails, fishing picnic area and there is even an archery range nearby. The area is well kept and a favorite of many in the area when the... More

There are great trails for kids (or beginners) to mountain bike at Pena Adobe. Definitely check out the paved paths at the opposite end of the parking area. Once you get down the hill, there's a shade garden area with picnic tables and a bike path that goes around the (for now anyway, dried up) lagoon that have various single... More

We have been hiking at Lagoon for years. Hiking ranges from flat easy walks to steep uphill trails. The park is home course for the local High Schools Cross Country teams so provides challenging runs

Lagoon Valley has long been a Vacaville/Solano County favorite for hiking, biking, dog park, feeding the geese etc. Walk the lagoon...about a 2 mile walk or take a trek up the mountain to either of the 3 towers!! That will kick your tail into gear! Great place for families to get out and picnic or have a birthday party too!

This nice park area with large pond, biking trails and garden offer a number of fun things to do in a large area. Feeding geese, hiking, frisbee golf... You have a lot to do in this spacious park nestled between Fairfield and Vacaville just of I80. If you like the outdoors but don't want to travel far from town, this... More

I love nature hike places, and getting to see new places. I went here with my kids on a Monday around non, and it was definitely not crowded. Parking is $3, but you can avoid this fee by parking before the gate (we had no problem finding a spot). The lagoon had some pollution (we saw floating cups and some... More

This is a great place to take your dogs, kids, and yourself for a walk or for a hike while enjoying a beautiful view of the golden hills during the dry season and green hills during the colder/wet season. Their are a variety of trails that you can hike on whether you want an easy walk on the black top... More
