We are very surprised, although this is a small museum, the displays are quite extensive. They have quite a few rare aircraft, and also the collection of military equipment. One display that impressed us was the General Patton's Field Briefing Room. So many things to see you'll need to visit the museum.

I went around 11am in the morning. There were only a few people inside so I was able to get thoughtful answers to all the questions I had and I didn't have to fight crowds. Entrance is free, which is nice if you're trying to maximize your budget but you are able to donate if you desire.
The exhibits are very clean and impressive. The Nut Tree Airplane is there as well as several other historical aircraft. Some were over 100 years old. The docent was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He offered me a Jelly Belly sample after the tour. They are open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm.
In addition to the airplanes, they also had a few tanks and helicopters. You are able to get very close to the exhibits so you can see everything in detail. They also allow pictures and you can get close enough to take some good selfies.
Even though it was mid-summer in an airplane hangar it was cool with the fan they had going. All in all, it was a great experience and I will definitely go again. I told my family and friends about my experience and am planning on taking some of them soon.

We happened to be in the area and found this little gem after a few hours at the shopping outlet. It is well worth an hour or two, some amazing craft on display and a few other items to view, pretty close to theairport at Vacoville.. in fact you could let your others go to the outlet and you go to the Dolittle Center while they shop!, really worth a visit.

Not worth the time to visit unless you are arriving here by plane and have time to kill. Local history interesting, but don't go out of your way for a visit

We went by here and it was not open. The schedule on the door said it was open on Saturday, but no one was there when we went. I think it is in a state of reorganization since the Doolittle sponsors pulled out.
