In my opinion, this is a pretty good ski resort. There are enough runs of various levels for everyone. Skiing mid-week is almost like skiing at your own private resort and you ski right to the chair without a line at most of the lifts. The only drawback to mid-week skiing is that smaller crowds usually mean less staff and... More

Our ski days were on Monday and Tuesday. Skiing during the week is the best where no crowds are there to keep you from getting he most runs in. The staff here is great along with open areas to just sit and relax.

We went on a ski trip with some friends, and neither of us had ever skied before in our lives. The class would probably be more helpful to children than it was to us. I unfortunately was dehydrated and had to sit out the last "run" of the class, because it was just too much for me. The "people mover"... More

I went to Sierra-at-Tahoe to teach my girlfriend to ski. It was her first day on the snow. My first option (Heavenly, mostly due to the view) was overpriced, and a local ski rental placed convinced us to try Sierra. We paid 87usd each for the day and it was not disappointing. Snow was wonderful and the green track from... More

My favorite ski area is Sierra at Tahoe. Not only is it close to Sacramento and the Bay Area but it has a terrain to satisfy any type of skier. From West Bowl to Grand View to the Back Side you can find groomed runs, moguls or terrain parks. If you need to take a break there are plenty of... More

My husband, son and I took a family lesson yesterday with Sierra at Tahoe Ski instructor Joe Boardman. It was the best money we could have spent on snow skiing. Our five year old had never set foot in a ski boot before, and within one hour of Joe's teaching, our son was skiing down the mountain and happy as... More

I came here after a huge winter storm dropped over 10 feet if fresh powder. it was possibly one if the best days skiing I've had. Nit all lifts were open due to the storm but so much fresh powder in the best glade skiing I've done. Reasonable price and sone great runs and all the staff were ace. Best... More

Still a newbie skiier, but really enjoyed the ski runs here. Yes it is out of town but definitly cheaper than heavenly. Staff was friendly on both days we came and helpful with rental gear. 2nd ski trip to tahoebut my learning curve is pretty fast. The beginner runs are a step up from the beginner run from diamands peak,... More

In Feb 2016, I took the kids here skiiing, and we had a good experience with the lessons. So much so, that on our way out, we stopped by the ticket office, and we're convinced to buy a 3 pack upgrade. No one told us the tickets would expire, nor did any of the signage on the wall say. So... More

This is a great ski/snowboarding location. It is very popular and frequently gets full. The lodge is large and has an acceptable menu. Prices are a bit high.
