Description:

Callaway Vineyard & Winery currently grows seven different varietals....

Callaway Vineyard & Winery currently grows seven different varietals. The winery property now has 20 acres of Estate vineyards planted with Viognier, Syrah, Dolcetto, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Lin family owns an additional 200 acres of property at the corner of De Portola Road and Monte de Oro, of which approximately 50 acres are currently planted with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Callaway Winery & Nature...At Callaway, we believe we are merely stewards of our land. The vineyards are farmed with the philosophy that seeks to sustain, for the long term, the viability of the land. From the winery, one can see the many specially constructed nesting boxes and perches nestled throughout the vineyards, which encourage a stable population of hawks and owls. Cover crops are encouraged to grow between the vineyard rows to provide habitat for beneficial insects. These are but a few ways we encourage nature to be nature! Callaway Winery & Winemaking...Approachable, flavorful and extremely well-balanced wines are synonymous with the Callaway name. The time honored, Callaway tradition of using unusually cold temperatures during fermentation to slow and prolong the process, allows our wines to retain their natural fruit flavors and aromas. And the result - wines that are fruit forward, food friendly and the perfect complement to today's eclectic lifestyles. Wines made to be enjoyed, from our vineyards to your table.

We have been members since 2001 and what a great gift with the upstairs patio enclosed room over looking the valley of vineyards.Great wines too. I suggest the Syrah and the Cabernet reserve. The Chardonnay Reserve is great too. Good wines for a low price. Friendly people and fun every time.

We had been here in 2013 and enjoyed our tasting so stopped here first on our self wine tour. Don was a most knowledgeable and friendly host who explained the nuances of the various wines made mostly with grapes grown at the vineyard. Even gave us a 2 for 1 tasting card to another winery. Great to see good will... More

First visit to a winery.....sampled 4 different red wines...diffeting qualities...some OK.. some not to my taste - finished off with a glass of their finest port - I would go back just for this. Server, Kevin, was very knowledgable and helpful. Outside views over the vineyards and hills absolutely stunning. Well worth a visit and the $15 sampling price.

I hadn't been to Callaway in about 5 years. I really loved the wine this time! I thought this wine was significantly better than previous times. The restaurant was fantastic, the wine was great and the staff was friendly!! I highly recommend you make a stop to this Winery!

It has a very modern tasting room, that we found a bit too clinical, compared to some of the older tasting rooms. The wines were nice but they didn't have any sparkling wine to taste. They have a large patio area at the front, which is a great place to relax with a glass of wine.

Driving up to the winery is absolutely beautiful. They have several Kalevala of tasting rooms and the club room upstairs offers absolutely beautiful sunset view. The crowd here is, however, a bit more on the geriatrics side than most of the other wineries in the area. We were able to buy a bottle, relax with a gorgeous view, and enjoy... More

Sounds like it should be a stripper name but instead it's the most delicious and delicate red wine I've ever tasted. I just wish we could get it here in Pennsylvania. Stay for lunch. My avocado BLT was innovative and delicious. Great views in the dining room.
