Wine tasting was ok but we did feel hurried. Location is nice and there is a great shuttle from the Carter Estate over the road.
Lunch was good and readied is for the tasting but otherwise it was pretty average

Loved the bubblies, great way to finish the day with lighter, refreshing wines. Did a group tour and this was one of the stops. Friendly staff made you feel comfortable, whether you are a connoisseur or novice. The wines were very good. A must stop if visiting Temecula.

I'm not quite sure why I'm not giving this location a one-star review. It's a mess. The "villa" we stayed in is tired, drab, and in desperate need of a makeover. The furniture has a musty smell. The bedroom is even worse smelling. There might be fresh sheets on the bed, but that's the ONLY fresh thing in that bedroom. The makeup mirror in the bathroom is BROKEN. With little effort, I could have had an amputated toe. Does anyone ever check to see what might need replacement? One of the faucets didn't turn on - at all! The really amazing sight was the cheesecloth-thin towel with strings shredding off of them. These are towels that become rags at my house. I don't expect to find them at an upscale "resort."

This winery is large and airy inside with two long bars and several small tables. Outside seating is also an option. Our server, Max, was knowledgeable and friendly. His expertise on the wine was helpful. Staff is educated on the menu and is able to answer questions from growing to tasting. We went midweek, but were old that weekends can be very busy. There is a small gift shop with wine accessories for purchase. The winery is associated with and Inn and restaurant. Only service dogs are allowed.

South Coast was the first winery I ever visited over 10 years ago when I was on vacation in San Diego. Now that I reside in the area, my wife and I stopped back in for the first time in 10 years as we were passing through the Temecula area. Let's just say the nostalgia from that first visit was permanently tarnished by my last visit. I have been to a lot of wineries after living in Northern California for several years and the service we received here was the worst. As in so bad it would be like watching Secretariat at The Belmont. The dead last horse is South Coast. Who knows, maybe that's why they put horses on some of their labels. I have never seen a more disinterested group of people working in a winery-or anywhere for that matter. They looked miserable. Here's some wine. Finish it, wait five minutes after you're done, then maybe we'll give you some more. The guy polishing the glasses had his mask pulled down below his nose as he was breathing all over the wine glasses. Just take the mask off completely like many of the other employees if you can't wear it properly. My wife and I decided to fast track things because the atmosphere was awful and there were plenty more wineries to visit in the area. We asked the guy who was serving us for our check. He disappeared. So we asked a second guy. He proceeded to sit down in front of their computer and we thought he was getting us our bill. Nope. Got up after being summoned to pour some wine. Sat back down. No check. Finally, the third time was the charm. Someone who had never served us finally got our bill for us 15 minutes after we first asked. Got the check and of course they add an 18% gratuity. I called out that I never saw this on our tasting menu. She took a look at it and said "Oh, that's weird. It's not on this one. Here, it's on this one." To be honest, I normally would totally support the 18% and would add in tip if the folks who served us actually contributed to the enjoyment of our experience. These people could not have cared less about making anyone's experience enjoyable. I let it go because honestly I had wasted enough time here and wasn't going to haggle over a few dollars. This place has lost its way. It's now a sterile corporate shell of its former ways. Hard pass on ever visiting again. I recommend visiting one of the much smaller wineries in the area that actually still have pride in their wines and actually enjoy talking about them.

Was here with a group of ladies for a weekend of fun and winetasting which was so very disorganized. They poured tasting into each glass on top of a paper which told each wine but no one was there from the winery to guide us through. We did want to purchase wine by glasses so were told to go inside but Camilla was so vague on instruction of how to get one we all just gave up. You lost quite a large sale there. Camilla supposedly a supervisor gave the worst display of customer service. She is clearly not the person that should be in tasting room. After winetasting we went to the Vineyard Rose for dinner which I must say received xlnt service. The food though was mediocre and quite pricey for what it was. The group also stayed at the Hotel for the weekend.

Awesome outdoor wine tasting experience. You walk up to the table to buy your tasting card and they give you a glass and your first taste. There are a bunch of tables along the large tree lined outdoor space. When we were there on a Friday afternoon they had live music. You walk back up to the table and they give you your additional tastings. The only down side is there was a little line we had to wait in for the additional tastings, but it wasn't bad. Overall I loved the experience and will be back.

Fantastic hotel and spa! From the moment we checked in, Julie was so nice and knowledgeable. Every moment was memorable. Waking up to the hot air balloons was the best! Great restaurant and wine tasting tour too. Highly recommended.
