Good place to visit. small fee for entry. Historic and interesting history of the Tahoe region. Gift shop for books and CDs. Great visit for history buffs and those curious about the history of the area. A short film is also there for the viewing.

From the shores of Tahoe in Tahoe City, walk up the stairs to the street level. The cabin is right there. Just love to look at the cabin everytime we visit. Very cool, incredible views.

Loved all the indian baskets and color charts from native shrubbery, old skis, sled, dresses, boots, etc. This is a nice history of old TAHOE Americana.

Although small, this is in fact how people lived in the tahoe basin in the mid 1800s. I thought it was fascinating and definitely worth seeing. Can you just imagine being in a little log cabin on the lake with nothing else around? Cool.
