This is a terrific ski area, which is now combined with Squaw Valley. There is a mellow vibe to this place, and it is very Family friendly. The local mountain opens up any number of outstanding ski runs off the Summit and Scott chairlifts. And...More

Alpine Meadows is a fun place - lots of different levels of terrain, fast chair lifts, lines that move quickly at busy times, terrain parks, and friendly staff. The lodge provides good but VERY EXPENSIVE food! Great views of Lake Tahoe from the top!

My husband is a snowboarder and loves it. I'm trying to learn to ski and it's only been my second attempt. I took a lesson and the instructors were very good and very patient. I loved this smaller resort. We went to Squaw Valley the...More

We came up after one of the larger snowstorms in January, and the skiing was fabulous. Of course we have come up here for many years in all kinds of snow conditions. So it was really a treat to get to ski in the snow...More

I have had an Alpine/Squaw pass for 18 years running. My favorite runs would be the Sisters, Arts Knob, and High Traverse. You have to work a little more to get to places, less chair access, but that keeps the lazy ones away.

We came skiing on New Year's Day. I've been skiing here for over 45 years and grew up skiing here. I skied here almost every other weekend for 25+ years. The negative: I would have given it five stars but the price is just out...More

I love Alpine just because it's less crowded, even on busy holiday season the lines were not horrible. It made my snowboarding days more efficient and fun. We always found a place to put our boards and people on the mountain and chair lifts were...More

Very crowded has a lot of potential with good snow but many people ski out of control and too fast seems dangerous

I got in some early runs this season. About half the mountain was open. There were some icy spots but if you have sharp edges on your skis or board it shouldn't be a problem. This place is also owned by Squaw so you can...More

Nice 2h return walk above Alpine Meadows to the Five Lakes. Good views across the mountains. Trail was in good condition, and we were able to achieve a height gain of 1000' which took us above most of the surrounding trees for good views

They're getting lots of snow right now. So much I can't get there because I don't have a 4x4 vehicle! The last few years have been horrible and March was bad. This season is looking awesome so far. Based on that I'd say that... More
