We were driving to Sonoma downtown and came across this property. We were pleasantly surprised since it's actually a good find where the gardens and the shops were pretty unique. Hey, can't beat the free admission fee for sure. We didn't eat at the restaurant and nor drink at the wineries though. Plenty of parking spaces. Overall, it's a good... More

First of all, choose a beautiful day. Next, make it springtime or summer when the gardens are at their best. But if it's overcast in January, when we went, it's still a high-quality, unique experience...and there's no crowd! Artists are given smallish plots to connect their creative vision of sculpture with nature. Some of it is curious, some captivating, some... More

This is a good place to stop on your way to or from the wine country. The gardens change from year to year with different sculptures and plants added on a regular basis. There is also wine tasting, a distillery and interesting shops but the gardens are the thing. We are in the restaurant and were very impressed with the... More

After reading the Sunset Magazine article on the new Cornerstone location in Sonoma, we were expecting a buzzing vibrant marketplace with shops and really amazing gardens. However, none of that was evident the day we visited. It is true is was in the middle of the week after a rain storm, but still the gardens seemed uninspired with tired, if... More

First off, visiting is free and there is ample parking. You can wander through the extensive Sunset test gardens and then check out the shops, tasting rooms and restaurants. We had just come from breakfast so didn't eat or drink anything although the restaurant looked really nice and there was lots of shaded outdoor seating. There were a number of... More

My garden group visited Cornerstone on a lovely Thursday in September. It's a charming set up, with a restaurant, wine tasting room, several interesting shops (gifts, clothing, florist/garden, home accessories, garden arts, a limoncello tasting room), and very inspiring gardens. Would love to see them add an art gallery for local artists. So nice to park the car and just... More

Great place to see some landscape designs and grab some ideal for your own yard design. Couple art and craft stores are at this site which you can even grab some ideal to decorate either your garden or house. They have wedding setting at this site and outdoor taste kitchen. However at some garden area looked like it was unkept.

Sunset has speciality gardens in the back of the property. Most plants are marked. It was pleasant walking around and getting ideas. This property will be easier to get to than menlo park for sunset events. The shopping area has french antiques and a fascinating store of recycled, repurposed items. A few wine tasting rooms and a distillery with excellent... More

We were attracted to Cornerstone Sonoma because the Sonoma Visitor Information Center is located there, but we found a wonderful collection of wineries, shops and a beautiful garden. We also enjoyed lunch at Park 121 while there. I had the empanadas and they were very good. The gardens were a delight and we enjoyed taking time to walk through and... More

What is happening with the older gardens they are getting pretty dismal. All are looking pretty old and unkept. If it wasn't for the Sunset gardens it is very disappointing
