Sonoma has a very historic Plaza. Many people say they visit "Sonoma"....but they are in other cities in Sonoma County. Visitors need to see the real Sonoma....the town of Sonoma....the Sonoma Plaza!

This was a great time to be in Sonoma Plaza with all the holiday decorations. One can wonder about the plaza, poking in and out of various alleys each with unique shops, art, restaurants and wine tasting options.

Takes about an hour to casually walk about shops and do a 360 stroll. Must be a dozen or more tasting rooms and numerous eating places. Art work and jewelry and clothing is a matter of taste. Three hour parking on the square.

After seeing some of the other nearby landmarks, this is a great place to wander. I am not endorsing any (didn't try) but noticed various spots in a courtyard setting for a cold drink or to eat ice cream. Also a few restaurant choices and...More

I think the people above me have answered the question. Airporter bus & the variety of wine tour buses. Of course the taxi services, maybe even Uber/Lyft can help you out.
