We learned so much Danish and Solvang history. This museum, located in a house built like a traditional Danish farmhouse and maintained by an organization was wonderful. The volunteers were so knowledgeable, it is located in a lovely neighborhood, the home itself, the artifacts, the...More

Tucked away in a residential area of downtown Solvang - don't miss a visit to this really beautiful museum packed with local history and current exhibits.

A cute little museum with interesting art and artifacts. Learn about the history of Solvang and understand how the community has grown and changed. A great experience, and a nice quick stop away from the touristy hub. Well worth the visit.

If you're in Solvang, this place is a must visit. It's off the beaten path in a residential area (as the staff explains, that's because it was built as a personal residence by the owners themselves). The Danish culture and old time lifestyle is beautifully...More

The museum is free and easy to do at your own pace. Though a few blocks away from all the shopping it is a pleasant walk, even when hot. It well explains how Solvang was founded and came to be the tourist spot it is...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this small museum housed in one of the original homes of Solvang. Enjoyed the rooms with original furnishings and the historical information provided in each room. The docents were most helpful.
