In the center of the Barlow in Sebastopol, the resident artist has been painting a 2-story tall Tangka for 3 years. It must be seen to understand the beauty and excellence. From a Buddhist perspective this work of art is a blessing to the entire...More

The large mural in process on the entry wall is impressive as is the letter of commendation from the Dali Lama. Not a very large inventory to choose from, but definitely worth a glance over.

Seeing the beautiful tanka painting is just part (a very big part albeit) of the visit. The feeling of the studio and the lovely things for sale make it a wonderful stop. Definitely check the hours as it is not open normal business hours. Namaste

The place is open for visits only Saturday's 12-17:00. No word in your page about visiting hours, I expected you enlighten the fact that it is closed for visitors most of the time.

Wonderful to have an authentic Tibetan gallery in town. The 5 year long tanka project on the wall is remarkable. It is being painted in the traditional way, the only one being done in the states.

An amazing experience to follow how difficult the massive size of the project is and to follow the progress knowing that a masterpiece is unfolding before our eyes in our own home town. The showroom is inviting, warm and can transport you to another land....More

I really appreciate watching the evolution of Tashi's tanka painting and the ceremonies he hosts with the Tibetian monks. I always feel a sense of peace when I am in the building.

This is a welcoming place to see Tibetan art done in the traditional style with traditional materials. The master artist is creating a Thonka that will be given to a monistary in Tibet when it is finished. There are goods for sale that support Tibet...More
