FINALLY. It has been a process to find a sparkling winery in the Sonoma & Napa area that had good bubbles with a non snooty environment, but the search is finally over. Iron Horse Tucked WAY back off the main road (seriously: talking one lane,...More

We were here 10 years ago and bought more bottles than we had planned. We came back because of the stunning views of the vineyards on the rolling hills...and Shirley, the wine tasting hostess who enjoyed the wines more than the customers. :) Shirley has...More

Iron Horse is one of the most memorable tastings we've had in both Sonoma and Napa. So cool to see the sparkling production process up close; we learned a lot on the tour, which is not always the case. From history to the science behind...More

This place is appointment only, and a little hard to find. GPS kept trying to get us down a dead-end road, but we drove around until we could finally get there. It was worth it! Great wines! Great service!

Fairly remote location from all the other vineyards. Highly suggest appointments especially if you have a group. Specialty on sparkling wines.

More rustic than most places, which is nice if you are expecting it. Service was excellent, and a very nice experience.

Beautiful views, wonderful champagne, and great staff. Make it your first stop, although they don’t start selling oysters until later.

The vineyard only grows chardonnay & pinot noir, but they do it very well. Great spot with knowledgeable staff that take time to listen to the customers tastes. Individual tasting fees are waived when a bottle is purchased. Don't be put off by the dirt...More

Not at all pretentious. Laid back with a wonderful view and low pressure staff. They have a very sweet cat with a bed by the tasting bar. Well worth the trip.

It would depend upon the age. We had 16 and 17 year olds with us and they were fine. But there's not much at ANY winery to interest/entertain children. Ours just love being with family so they were fine. But wineries, in... More
