My uncle took us to tour the neighborhood that is home to these funky sculptures and we tend to pass through on our subsequent visits. Lots of characters with personalities and while we remember some (Batman) others seem new. Nice side trip on your visit to wine country.

Patrick Amiot has become the go-to artist for funky personalized character sculptures to dress up your front yard. They are not only made from recycled materials, but they're eye-catching, fun to take a close look at and discover how he's reused some small appliance for a body part, and a bunch of them can be seen on a leisurely walk... We walked the three blocks and were so impressed with the artist's creativity! The block (Florence) is a little of the many drag - use your GPS. Most homes on the block have a piece of art work in front of it!

There is a whimical character to Sebastopol that Patrick captures in his creations made from recycled materials. They express the personalities of the homeowners/businesses. They're all over town if you keep your eye out for them.

Florence Avenue is a great little walk in one of the oldest sections of Sebastopole. In front of most of the arts and crafts house are very creative works of art. These works are made out of scrap metal of all types. As you can see in the photos the junk art depicts many common themes as well as movie... More

We parked at the Safeway and picked up a few items and then walked to Florence Ave to explore. Very cool artwork. Such detail. We made a loop and went up to Mimi's for ice cream before getting back on the road. A nice way to stretch our legs on a trip from Napa to the coast.
