"Peanuts" devotees won't be disappointed in the museum that memorializes the work of cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, who made Santa Rosa his adopted hometown.

The museum features an early mural of Charlie Brown and Snoopy, a wood relief sculpture of Snoopy showing the changes in the famed cartoon dog's appearance over the years and Schulz's actual work studio.

We spent about 90 minutes at the Charles Schulz Museum. Since it's not open on Tuesdays we had to fit in a short afternoon visit on Monday due to other travel plans. This was fine though because I don't think you need much more than 2 hours. It's not a large museum but the exhibits are interesting. We enjoyed the... More

I truly enjoy seeing all the "Peanuts" characters and how Charles Schulz evolved them over the years in the comic strips. The few times that I have visited the Charles M. Schulz Museum, it is very pleasant and not too crowded. The place is not all that big that it would take hours to go through the exhibits. The main... More

This was an excellent day trip from San Francisco. In addition to the art work, Mr. Schultz was really an interesting man with interests in sports and politics. There's a cafe and ice rink for the kiddos as well.

This was our second trip to the museum and we will be back. Having grown up with Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang makes this place special. It is always great to learn a little about the man behind the cartoon. Also, go over to the Warm Puppy and get a sandwich or a burger and watch people on the... More

What a delightful time we had visiting the museum and wandering through the "It was a dark and stormy night" special exhibit. It was fun taking photos of us in the shadow box typing and more fun watching children using a manual typewriter. Showings of various Charlie Brown movies play in a theater through out the day. Nice gift shop... More

Allow at least 90 minutes to truly tour this wonderful museum,c so you can read the many cartoons and laugh. It was neat learning about Schultz's history and that of the Charlie Brown cartoon, and seeing the evolution of the characters to what we see today. The wall with the thousands of comic strips was awesome. Seeing the artist's studio... More
