Impropmtu picnic with family. Younger group (10 - 13) enjoyed the water bounce place, teenagers took walks and had coffees at the snack shack. Us older folks wandered the paths and lounged watching the people enjoying their Saturday afternoon.

We went to Spring Lagoon, where is a water park and a small shore (4-6 feet depth).
Place is very nice, lots of shade, with tables and BBQ. Also a place to grab some bites.
All place are with lifeguards and with plenty of space...More
Love walking around the lake, taking in the scenery, and seeing all the families out and about with their kids and dogs. Not to strenuous walk around. Have done it before lunch with a friend. Good way to work up an appetite. Highly recommended.

This would not be the place to for seeing blooming trees. I'm embarrassed to admit, living here my entire life, that I can't think of a place here where you can experience that. Sorry. Hope this makes it to you.

If you are looking for spring flowers, you may be disappointed with Spring Lake Park. While there certainly are flowers in the meadows, they are subtle. Yesterday, I saw only one small section which had a large number (maybe 15) of ornamental fruit trees. These were blooming, though they were not in full bloom. There is really no equivalent to a Longwood Gardens-kind of a place in Santa Rosa. The Luther Burbank home has some plantings, although it is just one garden. Rgds,
