Great museum, the building itself is a work of art! Very good Sonoma County 60's summer of love exhibit. Very friendly staff. Art museum is next door and you ticket get you in both museums. There is a small "free" parking lot between the two museums too.

This small local museum is coming of age. The history museum includes interesting local history as well as varied exhibits that fit both history buffs and art lovers. The building itself has some fascinating story to it. The art museum in an adjacent building is coming into it's own with a wide variety of artists and themes. Although small and... More

Small but eclectic art museum very near the downtown mall. I saw two unusual exhibits at my last visit in Sept. One was a private collection of photographs of female nudes, and the other featured furniture and fine art made of exotic woods. A pleasure.

We go to the museum fairly regularly and are considering becoming members. It's a small museum, but they change out the exhibits frequently enough to make it worth it to go a few times a year.

BEYOND BOLLYWOOD- Exhibit at the Sonoma County Museum,Santa Rosa, California Speechless was I for a long time after I left the museum. What an amazing capsule of the history of Indian Immigrants and their contribution to the American Scene, a treasure indeed did I see. For Indophiles and especially for East Indians both young and old this a must. For... More

Interesting art pieces but not enough to really want me to stay. I was much more interested in the architecture of the building. The gardens were nice around the museum

The museum is in two sections, one for art and the other for history. When we were there, the exhibits in each were very worthwhile. A Robert Williams show in the art museum and an excellent photography exhibit in the history museum.

You will learn things about the Santa Rosa area you never knew before. And the changing exhibits are wonderful.
