So ashamed to admit to visiting a Brits pub during our honeymoon in California from the UK... but we had a really good evening here. Only stayed for drinks so can't comment on the food. Staff were lovely, great atmosphere.

Instead of taking a flight out of town, opted for a pub experience in santa monica. The atmostphere with the fireplace bar and decor was deliciously english. I took my english friend to complete the experience. She loved the pastry shop in the back and we had the shepherds pie and curry. Pricing was very reasonable, the staff was helpful... More

We just had to have a late lunch in Ye Olde Kings Head on Santa Monica Blvd whilst we visited Santa Monica for the day with our Family, consisting of 4 Adults and 3 children, aged 5,9 and 12, as it has become a Family tradition to eat and drink here over the past few years , when we annually... Bloody Hell! What's happened to Ye Olde Kings Head? This was our old standby for incredible fish & chips along with other pub grub. Today was, instead, an incredible disappointment in so many ways. It still retains its pub atmosphere, and we were greeted warmly by our server Christine. Then the food went all to hell... The clam chowder was... More

Great atmosphere, good food, had the shepherds pie and cobb salad, both were delicious and filling. A little bit pricey but quite a evening spent there.

Typical English pub. Enjoyed a couple of pints of Guinness there. Nice service . Souvenir shop next door. Worth one little visit but then go elsewhere

This is my fourth visit to this fabulous English pub/restaurant but my first visit with American friends. I wanted to show them how 'we British' do things!! I didn't need to check out the menu as I knew what I was going to have - fish and chips, obviously. They had the king size to share and also some clam... More

When you are in the mood for breakfast it doesn't matter what time it is you want it! I knew Kings Head served it until 2. I was so glad I thought of it. Huge, perfect, delicious, served hot and quick. Eggs anyway you like them, thick crusty toast, veggie sausage or plenty of real meat for the hearty breakfast... More

Typical english pub. Different beers and quite nice menu with many varietys. Nothing special as you can expect. They also have a shop next door for suveniers and english food.

I've frequented this restaurant/pub for years. It got its name for the small ceramic beer mugs or head statues that used to sit on a shelf in the bar of all the Kings and Queens of England from Arthur onward. Of all the fish and chips I've ever had so far in my life, theirs is the best. Enjoy a... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
