Santa Cruz Wharf is a great place to just relax for the day and hang out. Rent a fishing pole or crab net very reasonably from Andy's Bait and Tackle located at the far end of the wharf and try your luck! Enjoy the beautiful...More

The boardwalk is a lot of fun. Great place to spend the day. The wharf on the other hand is another matter. A few nice views, so worth the walk out on the wharf now and then, but there's really not much to do unless...More

I checked friends because an adult grandson doesn’t count as family (teens) and we ARE friends but family would be more accurate! We cane to see the seals who hang out below the wharf on the supports that anchor the wharf tin the water. They...More

We visited in October and had a great time, walked the pier, watched the sea lions and fishermen. Great little restaurants and of course, the oceans right below you! The surrounding beaches and cliffs are astounding and very serene.

I’ve been coming here for over 45 years and the place hasn’t changed a bit. Scattered with restaurants, gift shops and boat/kayak rentals. Great place for fishing, especially night fishing, I’ve caught sharks, halibut, king fish, skates, octopus, crab and perch from here.

Lots of cool things to play and do here! Family fun. Video games, old school games, and new state-of-the-art games too!

Nice walk out to the tip, beautiful CA afternoon. A bit tawdry and run down for a place that celebrated its 250th just 2 years ago. BUT GO FOR THE SEALS. There are cut out places on the wharf to view them lounging on the...More

Lovely afternoon walk to truly soak up old school Cali vibe. We planned to stop here because my friend had seen the location in a movie. The "kitch" lived up to our expectations. Funny statues, old school roller coasters, and a boardwalk didn't dissapoint.

We were here October 2018, it was a nice warm day, blue skies. Shops, Restaurants, Cafes, dotted about on the pier. People fishing, hoping for that big catch, and port holes alive with Sea Lions, making a lot of noise, as they chill out below....More

Nothing to drive for but fine if you are in the city anyway. Prefer Monterey marina area. Not much in the city either.

There is a bus that’s an express line - goes SJ to Santa Cruz over HWY 17; however, if you rent a car, you could tool around to some of the others towns and beaches (Capitola, Aptos). There is a bike sharing program that’s... More

I didn't see anything that big parked on the wharf. There is a lot of parking by the amusement park on the boardwalk, so I would try there. If you are staying in the rv, sea cliff state beach has rv spots right on the ocean... More
