Kind of a trashy area. Needs updating and better placed to stay in the area! There was not much to do and the shops were trinket junk stores. The beach was not very clean either in this area and a lot of kids running around...More

The boardwalk is a blast, especially for families with kids. There are tons of rides and games, mini-golf is cheap ($6 for 18 holes), there are the standard treats to eat (we had corn dogs, chicken nuggets, chocolate dipped swirls, candied apple) and fun to...More

The Boardwalk is always a fun place to visit during the summer. I was impressed this year with the addition of the outdoor movies on the beach. However, I was a bit disappointed with how dirty the arcade area was. I would expect that from...More

We preferred walking the wharf instead of the boardwalk. It is much quieter and provides great views of the boardwalk and surrounding area in Santa Cruz. While there are several restaurants on the wharf, I recommend going to Splash. The views are great, the decor...More

Combination of restaurants, retail, locals fishing, sea lions sunning, magnificent spot for whale and sea lion observation, drive out and park. Low key and NOT crazy chaotic. Love it!

Great walk and plenty of places to eat towards the end of the pier. To my surprise there was also plenty of parking available. Tons of people spending the day fishing, you can also rent boats and kayaks should you desire. The amusement park was...More

The food is amazing. It's always fun to nose into the shops and see what's new. Our favorite restraunt? Blue dolphin!

I love to visit the Santa Cruz Wharf. There are many nice souvenir shops along with delicious dining options. The views are spectacular. This is a great place to see California Sea Lions.

It was a typical visit to a seaside wharf. There was a variety of restaurants. Lots of sea lions under the pier. On a Sunday early evening there were lots of people there fishing. It’s gets cold. Bring a jacket.

Spent this past weekend at the beach. We walked around and ate so much good food on the wharf. We had fresh crab cups, shrimp sandwiches, smoked salmon cups, calamari !! It was all so great. We didn't even know there were more places to...More

I didn't see anything that big parked on the wharf. There is a lot of parking by the amusement park on the boardwalk, so I would try there. If you are staying in the rv, sea cliff state beach has rv spots right on the ocean... More
