Good place to show the kids how the core part of modern microcomputer has been developed. Plenty of displays (photos, videos, and actual products) and some interactive equipments. The size of museum is about right (not too big, not too small). Small souvenir store right next to the museum is a plus. If you happen to be in Santa Clara or Sunnyvale area and have about an hour of spare time, it is definitely worthy to visit the Intel Museum!

This is a wonderful, small museum where you can take visitors to Silicon Valley. It reall shows the impact of technology on our world today. Great for kids who are interested in computers (probably not good for little ones)

As reported this is a small museum that is free. If you go in yourself and like to read, it is interesting and there are lots of things to see. However, this place is much, much better if you take the free tour. Both guides we had were informative, funny and made the museum. They had short stories and guided you to the highlights. We were on a school tour and both the adults and teenagers liked it a lot. Plan on about an hour.

Free admission down memory lane and read about the various x86 and Pentium based computers I owned. You will probably spend an hour or 2 here unless you have a strong passion for technology and 3 hours isn't enough. There is a small Intel store where you can buy souvenirs.

It's not a must see attraction but it's free and there really isn't much to do in the neighborhood.

I visited the Intel Museum while I was killing some time during a visit to the South Bay. It is located inside the Intel Building, next to the main entrance. It is not a large museum, probably less than 2000 square feet, but it has many informational stations, pictures, tools and objects used in semiconductor science and manufacturing. The flooring is made from actual flooring, at one point, used inside a manufacturing clean room - and that is described in one of the stations as well. You can see and touch the single crystal boules before they are cut into single crystal wafers, which are the main material used (by mass) in all of semiconductor devices to date. There is also an Augmented Reality station which should be fun for younger kids. The gift shop is next door and has the items you'd normally expect - nothing particularly novel unless you just want some Intel branded items.

The kids really enjoyed walking around and seeing this museum. It isn't a place you need to plan on spending a long time, but they have some hands on activities and it kept the kids entertained when we had a few hours to kill.

As I grew up with using the first personal computer, this was quite interesting. I actually saw the PC that my dad had and that was passed on to me. The museum provides a real nice history of Intel but also everything that uses Intel chips.

Its not very big so expect to be there for max an hour. Its located on the Intel campus and free parking is available in front. The location is not very well indicated, but just look for the big Intel logo in front of the building (see picture)

Walk right in, friendly staff to help, free, but ask for a tour. Small room, but it has the history of Intel and all about chips. A little interactive with touch screens for more information. Gift store next door.

It's a very small museum. The giftshop is cool if you like to buy some Intel merchandise. Nice to get a fast & small history of computer chips. Cool interaction for kids.
