We took the scenic drive. You need your own car. Views of ocean and mountain are pretty great. Not many places to stop except at shoreline park, butterfly beach (if parking is available), sides of road in hope ranch. Most of views you would have...More

It was nice to walk down to the pier and look at the shops along the way. But, it was great to be able to take this convenient transportation back to where we were staying. It was inexpensive and fun.

Santa Barbara has some nice coastline to explore and the best way is to do it by driving around and stopping on a way at places of choice. Good time guaranteed.

Along portions of this scenic drive are some amazing homes and interesting architechure. The coast line is very pretty and it's easy to follow around different neighbourhoods. Not too much traffic but it was steady on a Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed the ride.

The tour is one you drive yourself, so there is not cost, but you'll need a car. However, the route has been recently damaged due to serious landslides in January 2018 that claimed 22 lives. It is recommended that you do not... More

Sorry to answer this way, but we were on a bus trip and this is the way we traveled the drive by the shore. It is beautiful though I really loved the sailboats and cabin cruisers.
